Files in DWG format can be opened in #archicad via the menu File / Open.
Select the DWG format and select the file to open.
The main drawing conversion rules are stored within the 'Translator'. In the example that you can also see in the video, I used the Translator "For an editable import". The Translator is then also used by #archicad when exporting the DWG drawing.
Because of the differences between AutoCAD and #archicad, when you proceed with opening the file, you will find that within the #archicad file you can lose some Attributes. The most common are "Transparencies" or "Retinas". Granted that the best thing would be to NOT open the DWG (this should only be done if it is necessary) in my video tutorial I explain how to manage the DWG drawing once opened and how to proceed to recover the Attributes you are used to.
