Lucas has been such a character. He is growing so quickly, learning and being silly, but he absolutely refuses to walk! We know he has the ability, because he will hold on to things and walk around the house, but for whatever reason, he gets so scared the minute we let go of him! For our family activity today, we also roast hotdogs and marshmallows out back, to enjoy some s'mores and family time! Afterwards, Austin built the girl a fort for camping in the basement!

Every child walks at their own time. My kids walked at 15 months, 13 months, and 10 months respectively. Lucas will walk when he is good and ready.

I have worked in child care where an almost two-year-old toddler refused to walk, so my boss refused to put him up to toddlers until he could. Well, the teachers would carry him and mom babied him, so he didn't have to walk. Finally, the district came in and said put him up to toddlers. When he saw all the other toddlers walking and running, he decided he wanted to too. Yes, every child has their own developmental schedule, but if he knows you're always going to baby him, he won't take the chance. Good luck and God bless!

All babies walk on their own time. I had to learn this the hard way my son didn't walk or crawl though he coasted a couple times and I was so stressed out because I was constantly being told by friends and family that "he should be walking by now" but his doctor would say all babies walk in their own time. At about a year and a half, he just stood up and started walking and within a few weeks, he was running.

We have a trick for you! My husband use to take a bath towel and twist it, put under the babies arms and walk with him with holding the ends of the towel! They learned to walk really quickly and it was so much fun!!

Don’t worry, my daughter didn’t start walking until two months ago at 14 months but what help a lot is her having her hold something with both of her hand and I just used her num num snacks and she walked amazingly

I didn't walk until I was about 1 1/2 years old myself. I just got in a workplace accident on Tuesday morning and need the escape from my recovery. I was helping unload mail from our mail van and the guys unloading the carts didn't realize the ramp at the end of the lift wasn't in the locked position. Gravity took over and I got smashed by said cart. I had emergency surgery on my right leg and I broke my right femur and have two screws holding it in place while it heals up. The rest of my body is bruised up pretty badly, but some of the bruises are healing. It's amazing all the things you take for granted in everyday life when you're forced to use alternative methods to get ready for the day or using the bathroom. I've received a priesthood blessing (being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). I'm alright as long as I take my pain meds and use rice packs on the inflammation on my legs. I'm very lucky my injuries weren't more serious and that my mom is able to help me. ❤❤I would have ended up in a rehabilitation center if I was by myself. 🤕😥😖😣 My best friends are rest and medicine.

My son is 14 months and refuses to walk also! Idk what it is he knows he can get around just fine crawling and has his big sis and brother to help him so I guess he just thinks he's fine 😂 I keep telling myself he's not going to be 16 and be crawling so he will do it when he wants. My son also laughs so much holding his hand walking and thinks it's so funny also!

My cousins lil boy will be 3yrs old in August and he didn't walk till after he was 2. And I've been told I didn't walk till I was after 2...kids just go at their own pace, he looks like he's doing good with it though, before u know it he'll be walking and getting into things and you'll wonder why u wanted him to start walking lol. If yall have one of those help-to walk toys that might help get his confidence up..going on his own. ❤love yall

Each child will walk when they are ready. My youngest son (he is 19 now 😭) decided one night after Mom took her shower to pull up on the sectional couch, he stood there smiling at me, I moved back from him and said come on little man, and he was off to the races on walking. As other Mama's have stated in the comments try something Lucas can push while he walks. Lucas might start walking when no one is watching too, that's how my oldest son (he is 22 😭) started walking, he waited until I wasn't looking to take off. Lucas will walk, just give him time ❤

Boys take that little bit longer to walk . My son was fifteen to sixteen months old when he walked for the first . Every child is different and most will learn to walk in their own time. According to the World Health Organization, 97% of children begin to walk on their own before the age of 16 months, and about 95% will walk within the time frame of 9 to 16 months. Some children may fall outside this expected range and that's ok. Had rang my late sister about taking longer to walk . Said donot worry she was a mother of four boys.

My son didn’t start to walk till 18 months. I think boys develop a bit slower than girls. Although I only have the one son, so can’t say from personal experience. However my niece walked at 11 months. So I have that comparison.

Find old office chairs that don't rotate around and on base with arm rest tie rope from with nots can pull himself up on put sand bags on base so will not tip over.

I don’t understand when people keep saying “ they will walk when they are ready???? That’s not true, all babies need to practice walking in order to strengthen their muscle, practice with push toys and a walker. Also boys are much slower than girls so they need extra time. Put him on his walker, get him the standing push toys these force him to practice, but you holding him won’t work as he can just sit or cry so you have to let go.

My daughter did that and I had to get braces for her ankles because they were weak. After two weeks in them she started walking and month later she was walking without them.look at his feet at begging of this video. His feet are turning out almost like hers did.
