This video is amazing but you forgot one tiny detail: after he broke up with Peyton (I mean left her in a hotel room while she was sleeping) he went to BROOKE and tried to have sex with her to cheer himself up... The very same girl he cheated on twice, breaking her heart, and who was kind enough to forgive him and even encourage him to date Peyton, he tried using her as a sex rebound... HE IS THE WORST

Also to be fair, that kiss in the library is totally overblown, Peyton thought she was gonna die and she kissed him and I’m not mad that Luke didnt tell Brooke because it didn’t mean anything given the circumstances and situation. The Creator added her only for comedy purposes and she was only supposed to be a guest star but people fell in love with her so he decided to add her as the main character by saying that she was Peyton's best friend because in real life the actresses get along really well and to try out Brucas because they had romantic chemistry since they were dating in real life during the show and the Creator decided to pull back the curtain too show that she can break down.

The reason Brooke and Peyton were like that was because the Creator couldn't pit them against each other in real life so he decided to do it in the show and the reason Lucas was like that with Brooke was that Chad couldn't stand to work with Sophia after their break-up/divorce and he was upset that the producer's where putting him and Sophia's personal lives on TV Commercial's and ads that Sophia said that they had no space to self-reflect but they still had to pretend like they were friendly at event's and in love/stand each other on the show until he left at the end of Season 6.

The cheating was because Men of the staff were shown naked photos of an actress that the Writer/Creator was having an affair with and the naked photos were being passed around and they were naked photos that they didn't want other people to see so no one else knew about them not even the wife's or the people in the hair and make-up department so the creator decided to write it into the character of Lucas and the idea for the sex tape was from the Paris Hilton one and that one of the women that were working with them in the studio/office showed up and caught them watching it and said that it wasn't okay and the controlling and judging came from the creator or producer's that were all men and they didn't know how to write the women because they didn't have any women writer's in the studio so they would write women of how they thought they would think or what they would want and the creator even mentioned that they should get women writer's but the producer's told him no because he was the biggest girl in the room but he said that he didn't think so but I think the reason that they actually said no was because they didn't want to pay more people because the studio in wilmington is so small that not that many people fit in it and for season 5 the creator had the actresses and actor's do research for the job's that they had them doing in the time jump because he didn't know what he was going to have them doing in the time jump because he said that he had already had them doing all the college stuff in high school which was partying, drinking, dating around, and drug's.

He acted as if he was confused whether he wanted Peyton or Brooke when it was always Peyton. He made himself think he was in love with Brooke to hurt Peyton. He didn’t love Lindsey in the later seasons but wanted to hurt Peyton again. It was a poorly written love triangle. I love this show but this love triangle was messed up on so many levels. Lucas and Peyton hurt everyone with their actions, especially Brooke. He wants Peyton when he doesn’t have her and he wants Brooke when he doesn’t have her. He’s never satisfied.

He didn’t want Peyton when he was with Brooke. He never went after her and try to get between her relationship with Jake. He didn’t want Brooke when he was with Peyton, he never tried to get between Brooke’s relationship with Chase or Julian, he supported Julian and Brooke because he invited Julian to his wedding to Peyton so that Julian and Brooke could get together and he supported Jake and Peyton because he encouraged Peyton not to give up on Jake and that Jake would come back to her. I didn’t like how the writers had the timing of his relationships and I didn’t like the storyline of him and Lindsey, I felt the writers doing that was unnecessary. He was a good person but a flawed one, that’s ok though because I remember all the great things he did on OTH, he did some bad things too but let’s not act like he didn’t do great things and let’s not act like he was a great friend to everyone and a great brother to Nathan

The actress that played Lindsey already knew why she was there because the creator told her that she was just a sitting duck for when Lucas and Peyton got back together and she knew that she wasn't going to marry Lucas which is why the creator/writer had Brooke make the wedding dress because the creator/writer also told her that Lucas wasn't going to marry Lindsey and the creator/writer forced him to say I do but they had her appear in season 6 because they loved her and Julian appeared in this season because Sophia was dating the actor at the time and he said the only way he would stay on the show is if they put him with Sophia's character Brooke but right after the series ended Sophia and Austin broke up after having dated on and off for about 4 to 6 years.

Brooke ended up with Julian because they were dating off-screen and the actor that played Julian said that he would only stay on the show if his character ended up with Sophia's character Brooke but as soon as the series ended Sophia and Austin broke up after dating on and off from 2010 to 2012 but before Sophia dated Austin she had dated James Lafferty for a while from 2008 to 2009.

Lucas was the real culprit in the love triangles. Leyton vs Brucas (first time): He knew he wasn’t over Peyton when he got involved with Brooke. Peyton was just scared of the idea of letting someone in and he could have literally gone for anyone other than her best friend. Plus she realized she wanted him back BEFORE she found out that he was dating Brooke. This whole love triangle could’ve literally ended in a few episodes with no one getting really hurt if Lucas had just ended things with Brooke before she got attached. Leyton vs Brucas (2nd time): After fighting for Brooke for an entire season, she finally takes him back and he goes running to Peyton THE NEXT DAY. Peyton thought she was gonna die so she kissed him. Peyton actually was in the wrong so of course she didn’t wanna tell Brooke and ruin her friendship. But Lucas didn’t do anything wrong so he should have just told Brooke. And after Brooke breaks up with him, he feels a need to hang out with Peyton 24/7 while claiming to want Brooke back. Just stop hanging out with the girl you cheated with multiple times! Leyton vs Lincus? (idk wtf their ship name is): This dude could have literally just waited a year for Peyton. She said in a year, but nooo bc apparently getting married at 20 is “too old”. After Peyton comes back to town, LUCAS flirts with Peyton. After LUCAS kisses Peyton, he proposes to Lindsey. After LUCAS writes a book about Peyton, he blames Peyton for Lindsey leaving him. After claiming to be “in love” with Lindsey and fighting to get her back, when she finally wants him back, he chooses Peyton. And in the end, he reveals that he has *always* known he was in love with Peyton

Your too focused on half of season one when he went down a downhill but from season 2 onwards he was a great friend was there for everyone, especially Nathan. He literally threw a basketball game for Nathan and was even going to take the fall for Nathan’s point shaving so he could go to Duke. He was there for Anna when she revealed she was gay, he helped Nathan get through his life without Haley, he helped Brooke with baby Angie, he told her she would change the world someday, he threw a celebration party for Nathan and Haley getting married, he drove to New York to try and convince Haley to come home, saved Peyton from the school shooting and psycho Derek, helped convince whitey to put skills on the basketball team, he was there for Jamie when Nathan was going through a tough time, he came back to tree hill in the first place because of Nathan, he even took the time to go to the river-court and try to convince him to give Haley another chance. He didn’t always make the best choices but come on to say he was just a terrible person and act like he didn’t do anything good is just ridiculous

Hah, One Tree Hill. I used to watch this show back in the days. And now I'm writing a comment to this video, Saturday night. I don't have a life or something else... Looking forward to more videos about beloved WB shows. Recently we "discovered" that the beloved Rory Gilmore wasn't so great after all (same goes for her mother, who could be considered even worse, because she's twice the age, the mother and should be the role model). And we're not talking about Dexter, Tony Soprano or Walter White. Those guys are anti-heroes at best. No, we're talking about characters like Luke Scott, who's supposed to be the "good guy" on his show against the "bad guy", his half brother Nathan Scott. At the time I was watching OTH, I didn't reflect on the storylines at all. I didn't question what I was watching. I think (not sure if it is entirely true) that I simply accepted the roles the writers gave the characters. Some were good, some more good than bad and some were just the antagonists. I just was being entertained by the stories. I think it can be dangerous to excuse any bad behaviour of a otherwise beloved character (like Rory, Luke or on any other teen show). It's obvious why the writers make these beloved characters do bad stuff: To keep the drama coming, to keep the dream lovers away from each other. It would be an interesting video about the reasons why we let our favourite TV characters get away with so much bad behaviour, while we wouldn't turn a blind eye in real life. Also these characters have to act dumb and keep secrets. I'm honestly glad I escaped these shows. They were fun for a while, but when you start to see behind the curtain, when you start to watch a show too critically and paying attention to morality, you could basically stop watching it. Anyway. It was a relatively simple (it's hard to know all the information of like 9 seasons of a show in your head to make these connections) but also very interesting video to me. From today's viewpoint I wonder how I could have enjoyed watching such cheesy boyfriend-girlfriend-cheating-first-world-problems-teen-drama at all. :) The entire on-off-on-off-on relationship with other lovers and back and forth is so over the top and ridiculous, that it's hard to watch for me now. I think I lost some brain cells. But I admit that there is more time between the episodes than in a 15 minutes video, so the viewers won't notice how the same stuff is repeated over and over again. Still it's beyond realistic that anyone in reality waste his life switching girlfriends every year, promising that she is the one and only and than hang out with the ex. It's so unrealistic to do it all the time, how could the writers get away with such dumb crap? The coincidences, the forced misunderstandings, the secrets, the constant hanging out with exes aka playing with fire + the cheesy songs playing in the background. I'm almost ashamed that I used to like the show (the first couple of seasons though it was like 7 or more years ago). The OTH universe itself is not bad at all, if you ignore the scripts. Thank you for shedding some light on the terrible character of Lukas Scott, who is almost worse than Don Draper. The script writers on the other hand should be tarred and feathered.

My biggest pet peeve is that he never seems to acknowledge his bad behavior. I mean we learned absolutely nothing from the Brooke Davis situation. Which is why Lindsay had to become the latest victim. And you know what kills me, is that I am not really sure where his extreme Peyton insecurities even come from. She rejected him ONCE in season one (because the proposal "rejection" doesn't count. She didn't say no. She said they should wait. And expressed her desire to marry him, but he heard none of that.) and pretty much held it against her since. I mean Lindsay could leave him at the altar and he will still try to win her back. Same with Brooke, she broke up with him and he was trying to win her back. Peyton could never get that fight from Lucas. Peyton asked for them to wait another year, and he said peace out. But how did the show frame the whole thing? Peyton needs to make up her mind about Lucas. She should have said yes when he asked. Not Lucas being like, "Yeah this whole thing was my fault. I pulled us back into this hell because I was scared. And I left you before you could leave me, to make make myself feel a little bit better. It was not fair to you to ambush you with a proposal because I was afraid of losing you. And maybe I should go to therapy to figure out why I am so terrified when it comes to you, Peyton. Since I was so desperate to runaway from my feelings for you, I legit tried to marry someone else. I said I do and everything like a lunatic."

Is not hard to understand how much Lucas feels lost without Peyton, and how hearing her says stuff like " I don't miss Three Hill" "I want to stay here" can hurt so much! The entire episode (5X05) makes us see how Lucas is not satisfyed reaching his dreams if Peyton is not there with him, and she prefers to stay kilometers away from his boyfriend, and be traited bad at work! You don't even try to understand a character, you are still blocked to his mistakes in season 1 and idealize an evil version of him that never existed! "A terrible boyfriend" Yeah... a terrible boyfriend who was close to his girlfriend during a lethal pregnancy in Season 6, and a guy who is probably a great father and husband! The actor that played Jake wasn't available because he was working on an HBO show in New York and he wasn't a main character and the reason Peyton is like that is because the creator got the idea of her character from his ex-GF from high school whose very similar and her name was Peyton Sawyer and he loved her very deeply and the Creator started having an inappropriate relationship with the actress that started during Season 3 when he decided that she was going to be his muse and it started when he was in his limo and he invited the actress to listen in on a phone call with the CW's President and so she leaned in to listen, and when it was Dawn Ostroff's turn to talk, he just leaned over and starts kissing her and she pushed him off, but she can't say anything because he's on the phone fighting for the show to stay on the air and she's just like in this position where she's thinking, ''You've got to take it and just laugh it off and a couple month's after that he publicly assaulted her at a party when she was at the bar waiting to get drinks for the hairdresser and her, and the creator leans over and kisses her in front of everybody. Right on the mouth and it was something she had to get out of because It wasn't a peck or ''Hey, sis, how's your day?'' It was a boyfriend kiss and the other time the Creator put his hands down her pants while grabbing his spouse's waist and when the actress didn't return his feeling's he got upset and decided to throw bad things at her character like killing her birth mother, getting shot, having a stalker, almost getting assaulted, having a black brother, a birth father who is an alcoholic and having a difficult pregnancy and they asked her to come back for the later season's and they would even give her a raise but the actress said no because she didn't want to deal with the Creator and the reason she didn't tell Warner Bros was because she didn't want them to view her as a problem and they had been so supportive of her time on the show because it was her first role as a lead and she does have good memories from when they weren't filming and the cast would just hang out in their hotel rooms and she said that the fear of being forced into another one of these situations was crippling and she never wants to be the lead female on any show ever, ever, ever again.

Listen I’m not denying that Lucas did cheat on Brooke and Lindsay no excuses but some of your points you made seem like you didn’t understand what really went down or what the meaning of that scene Lucas and Anna had zero chemistry and they were already over before Lucas and Brooke started being friends again you mentioned Lucas being friends with Peyton knowing what they did to Brooke in the past I can agree on some degree that is questionable but Lucas and Peyton had a friendship Brooke can’t force Lucas to stop being friends with Peyton because of her trust issues and her own insecurities, You talk about keeping secrets that’s funny because Brooke always did that she’s not a victim I don’t know why the show made her look like she was never in the wrong when it came to the relationship. Between her and Lucas and Like Lucas said he forgave her for what she did with Chris all the games she played at the beginning of season 3 and also keeping the letters a secret from him and making it about something else when that wasn’t the truth you can’t say Brooke didn’t lie or keep secrets stop it. My last point Lucas wasn’t forcing Peyton to say yes he went there looking for reassurance and he got his answer when Peyton said Someday knowing that they went years months and weeks without seeing each other long - distance isn’t for everybody and Lucas couldn’t take the long distance anymore and I respect that you’re allowed to want more in life or in a relationship period Peyton didn’t want what he wanted at the time so he let her go she could find her happiness and so he could find his. He might have been a bad boyfriend towards Brooke but Brooke isn’t safe either so stop painting him like a villain because he make a few mistakes when a character like Dan had done far more worse Lucas is a great guy and the best Male teen drama character to ever be written I watch One Tree Hill everyday so I know what I’m talking about you sound a little bit confused
