Any day skiing is better than not skiing....so who cares if only one run. Especially in the new season. Getting your legs back as you mentioned in other video. That's key. Can't wait to see Keystone video. One of my favorite places to shred. Love night skiing! I grew up in upstate NY with night skiing every day after school til 10pm. What a great way to grow up. Skiing and snowmobiling!

You are very close to one of the best boot fitters in the Americas...Harb Ski Systems shop in Dumont. I would never wear a ski boot without them fitting those to me. Call them, its a 20 min drive from Abasin. Btw, they are also one of the best ski instructors you can ever ski with. Anyway, great video, glad winter is back. Hv fun at the Legend.

Sick video lucas! I had a similar issue when I got new Atomic boots last season. Something that the boot fitter told me was to first do lower leg buckle first when putting your boot on to help bring the foot to the back of the boot. I’m no expert in boot fitting or skiing but this just was something that helped me.

New skis I can adjust to in a couple of runs...I hate the break in process for new boots. I would go see a boot fitter and tell them where it's sore. Don't assume its part of the normal breaking period. I keep my boots until they absolutely are unsafe.

You can get that pressure point in your heel pocket dremeled out a little to get rid of it. A good boot fitter can also fill the rest of the volume that's causing that lift either with a footbed or something else if you need it

i think 7 full days of skiing and they should be broken in. after that if you are having issues then a visit to the boot fitter is needed. i got new boots last year, 1 full week skiing every day and on the 4-5th day i found a couple issues that a heel lift, punch out the pinky toes, and an insole (just a regular superfeet one) to stop my collapsing arches pretty much fixed everything. boots have been incredible after that.

Hey my friend.. that situation with your heal is only going to get worse unless you get your boots adjusted. There’s really very little “packing in” in the heel area so doing nothing isn’t going to help. Down the road in Avon, CO is a boot whisperer named Jeff Harper at Boot Mechanics. They have online scheduling on their website. It’s a short drive from where you are now and would be worth getting over there sooner rather than later!

Kinda funny, but I got fitted for boots at Cole Sports in Park City and felt a similar heel lift issue that I had to get corrected by a boot fitter and they put a foam "heel lock" on the outside of my boot liner and I never had an issue after that.

Get out of those boots until you are able to get those heels ground out by your bootfitter. Your heels are about to explode and you're going to need to take some serious downtime off snow. No skiing = no vids = No $$.

Looks great out there! I like the narwhal setup, only recommendation is maybe position it a little lower so it's more of a flat angle. Unique perspective though I think it looks great! Excited for this season lucas PS. The boots should form better. I returned my first pair of boots and had a similar problem, ended up having the same issue on the new boots so I think it's a matter of breaking them in like you said.

They would all be fun! A basin has a lot of advanced terrain but not very big. Winter park and copper have more variety. Tough to beat mammoth though!

Did you have any issues keeping the Narwhal mount steady? Last season I used it with the Insta360 X3 and it kept coming down (from the bumps). Maybe it's cause the X3 is heavier? It's a sick angle and an easy hands-free way to get footage. But also. You are just pumping videos and I am here for it!
