Pahiyas Festival in Lucban, Quezon province is not only about arts and culture for tourism purposes but also purposely for economic and business growth, progress and prosperity of the town and its local people. The town is almost already closer to cityhood soon, quite potentially, in the next decades, probably by 2030-2040-2050 which shall be called "Ciudad de Lucban" or "Lucban City", the next tourism and cultural city in Quezon Province. To neglect or ignore the potential cityhood of Lucban in the next decades shall be an economic loss of the town and of the province of Quezon. Some of the probable hindrances to its cityhood are not only the basis of the local economic growth target, but also, is the little growth of the Lucban population. The next Lucbanin posterity is necessary to cope with the ageing population also of Lucbanin families and clans with the replacement level possibly in danger if not sustained in terms of the necessity of the population growth to have significant labour forces in the future, in the next decades. Other places on this planet are subsidizing their local citizens to have more children for future labourers, future taxpayers and future economic producers, etc. The cityhood level of a certain town requires not only a good income level of the town but also the rate of the working population that sustains the local economy. Labourers are very important other than finance and natural resources, cultural wealth, etc. economically speaking. It may be also interesting just in case in the future for tourism purposes, among other probable benefits in terms of business and local economics, with respect to the priorities of the current honourable officials of Lucban, to try to install a sort of "PASEO DE LUCBAN" facility or edification of the cultural legacy of the 21st century, "PERMANENTLY" on a certain location closer to the main town - or in the central town whereby ON BOTH SIDES OF THE PASEO are various local products produced on quality displays in Lucban including its local or ancient 'TASALITAAN' OR LUCBAN DICTIONARY. Thank you and God bless Lucban LGU honourable officials, and the Lucbanin people! Happy Pahiyas 2023!
