This could easily be the ending sequence to a great film.. like a medieval version of Heat: two sworn enemies finally encounter and they fight to the death. No music, small figures, wide shots, bleak colors.. there is little glory to be seen, only brutal and merciless combat. Even decency comes short when they drop on the ground in a dagger fight, with armor plates falling off and littering the place. And as the winner stands up over his opponent, only silence and exhaustion greet him. Makes you wonder if any of this was really worth it in the end.
