Cause as much as he was a great wrestler in his youth, he's just got too sloppy in his old age for AEW. When you compare him to someone of a relatively similar age like Jericho or Daniels, you really notice the difference.

@@evangoh4893 @evan goh it's got nothing to do with that. I've watched many of Dr Luther's as far back as the nineties when he was in Japan. He wrestled unorthodox in his prime but now he's just so old that he's fumbling to even hut a corner body press. He almost fell over when he hit the big boot. When Pentagon kicked out at 1, he almost couldn't cause had applied too much weight. He was a great wrestler and he has a great gimmick, but he should've stayed retired to the indies or been Serpenticos manager, or made the match vs Jericho last year his last hurrah match. He's just not clean, sharp or polished enough for a big promotion like AEW. It's different if we were talking someone like Colt Gunn, Aaron Solow or Big Swole, someone like that who have time and years to develop and hone their skills but Luther doesn't. And if we're specifically talking about old wrestlers teaming with flashy wrestlers look at Jericho and Sammy, look at Dusty Rhodes and QT marshall. Heck take Billy Gunn who's five years older wrestling with Austin and Colt and you can clearly see the difference. I'd love to say that a great legend of indie wrestling can still go but he just can't. Not with a company that's priding itself on wrestling ability above everything else.

You can have him do the same gimmick he is but let him be Serpenticos manager. Heck give him a carnival ringleader gimmick and Serpentico is his Dance Monkey that Luther forces to nearly injure himself, just as he currently does, by making him insane spots that go wrong instead of just a normal scoop slam onto your opponent. Make a full blown psycho that is more a puppet master than a coworker that helps speak on behalf of Serpentico, just please let him retire with from AEW with a degree of dignity and decorum that a legend like he is has earned.

Although this was an overall decent match. I'm glad that no one, was seriously hurt. I noticed that the rhythm, between the 2 teams, was off. That can be dangerous; when everyone is trusting each other, with their bodies. But once again; it was a good, overall match.
