Yes, there are certain to be several more rounds of funding. Lucid is still a startup and will take years to become truly self supporting. Just built 3+ million sq. feet of factory, building another one in Jeddah now, and there are plans for an unannounced second factory in Casa Grande to build high volume mid-size (and other?) models. Lucid makes the best cars but LCID stock may have a time horizon too long for casual investors. (my thought, but you be you)

Recent studies have shown that EV buyers have no inclination to go back to ICE vehicles. Tesla DID have a strong base of rebuyers, (I know, I just made up that word) but hatred for Elon Musk grows every day. He has also thrown his bones in with Trump, and people with terrible memories will start to remember all over again how bad it was. The Tesla designs (except for the Cybertruck) are no longer fresh with the most minor of revisions. The Cybertruck is finding new ways to fail every day. There are a ton of videos out there (quite comical really) with owners trying to tame wild terrains with it, and the Cybertruck is just not up to it. The Lucid and the Gravity are stylish like a good Italian suit. Subtle perfection in the details. Lucid MUST keep this momentum moving forward. One test drive is all it takes to make a forever buyer.

EV companies need to show GRAPHICALLY how home charging is hugely cheaper than buying gasoline on a regular basis. Most skeptical ICE drivers don't seem to be aware of this.

@@RayNLA Yeah, they definitely aren't 'high volume' vehicles. That said, I also live in a well to-do area, and I see at least one Air a day. (Doesn't hurt that there is Lucid show room a few miles away, and no, the vehicles I see aren't test drives - I'm very observant in general and I notice the plates. My point is, I don't think they have thousands of pre-orders, but they definitely have pre-orders. They want to have direct access to the first few dozen or whatever as a matter of quality control etc, instead of discovering issues from unhappy customers.

The Air is amazing. It's hard to drive anything else given the choice. I came in skeptical of EVs and now have zero interest in any modern ICE car. The only annoyance is that other EV owners want to talk to me about it at every public charger

TOO BIG, TOO EXPENSIVE. Lucid make excellent cars, but the number of people who can buy a $100k+ luxury SUV EV is very few, and those people have a lot of options from Audi, Mercedes, Tesla, Rivian and GM. The Tesla model Y is the best-selling EV worldwide, Lucid have nothing that can compete with that. Instead they insist on super-premium models first, and are still far from profitable

You do NOT have the best technology in the world! Tesla has FSD, In car KZbin, and other apps, summon, and sentry mode. The Porsche Taycan has a better charge curve then Lucid. Please tell us how Lucid has the best tech. I do not have a Porsche, but I do have a 2019 Tesla Model 3, and I have a 2023 Lucid Air Touring. Lucid really needs to work on the software!
