Transcript (most of Lucien's dialogue): Well, I'm glad you came. The invitation was there, and you've all proven EXACTLY as useful as I hoped. I needed them distracted. Keep their eyes off me for a bit. So I thank you for that. You all know very well what this is. And I'm glad that we've all synchronized our schedules through all this chaos. It's perfect. These people. This city. Tragic in its fall, yes, but glorious in its discoveries. The Somnovem had studied, prepared enough to harness their terrible fate, and in doing so, they were reborn greater than they could ever anticipate. Isn't that right? Power of a thousand minds, dreams, imaginations, and wills made ONE. Founded in the aether of manifestation, a miracle, unstoppable YET, RUDDERLESS Fractured, Wild, JEALOUS, impotent. I once saw them as gods. Being so far beyond my ability to understand. And they chose ME to be their herald. BUT, when I died, when I scattered, and they put me back together, I was given a view behind the curtain, and I saw the fallacy that I had given everything for. GENIUS SOULS, now MEWLING TODDLERS. Bickering over the power of creation. Someone needed to be the parent. When children are acting out, well, making a mess of their potential, for this long even, a responsible caretaker must show discipline, enact punishment and take the reigns with force. So, I'd invite you to stay for the show, but I think you'd prefer to run.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that this video helped me out a lot during a Speech course I did last semester where I performed it for my final. Thanks for transcribing it and putting all the sound effects and such, which helped me get into the headspace of Lucien very well.

I think my favorite thing about Lucien’s voice is that you can hear the similarities and differences between he and Molly. Molly was much more quick and witty, which Lucien also can be sometimes, but can also have huge monologues like this. Lucien really was Molly, and more.

Caleb had Mind Blank on him at the time and would have been immune to psychic damage. Now, Jester's Earthquake complicated things, but I every now and then wonder what could have happened if Caleb stayed. Could he have done something to the cocoon before the merge? Would he have been destroyed first, absolutely outmatched on his own?
