This is one of my favourites by Lucy. You can feel the emotions being channeled as Lucy connects with the character about which this song is written. That’s the key with Lucy, not only are the vocals sublime the presentation is brilliant. The sadness in Lucy’s eyes is palpable.this is vocalisation and storytelling at the highest possible level. Lucie, thanks for doing this one, I haven't listened to it for quite some time. Despite all the runs, her diction is clean and you can understand all the lyrics. And during the chorus with all the runs the jumps to the high notes sound as if they are balls being tossed up in the air. This piece seems to really get to you. Your reaction to each of the high notes looks like they are drilling right through you. Plus Lucy is doing these runs seemingly on one breath. I'm watching as I type and noticed that even the very high runs are outstanding. This one seems to have really affected you; you were shaking off the chills for the whole thing. WOW!

Personally, and in general, I don't like it when singers add a bunch of runs to songs, they often come across as overdone and superfluous. Lucy never does that, she just sings the song the way it was meant to be sung, (or better) including this one. Well done Lucie and Lucy.

I suggest you check out a different song titled “Run to You” an original by Pentatonix. You already know how amazing they are. The song is like the sound dark chocolate would make if it was music instead of food.
