The song was from Michael Jackson's 1987 album BAD. This cover was a #1 hit in USA in 2001, and it was featured in the 2001 comedy American Pie 2, so that was an appropriate association! In the video are many homages to Michael Jacksons character and elements from his music videos.. The extreme LEANING movie is from his "Smooth Criminal" video. The horror wolf mask and yellow eyes are from "Thriller". The light-up sidewalk tiles are from "Billie Jean". The explosion is from "Bad". And Michael of course is known for his white glitter glove...and had a pet chimpanzee named Bubbles. The tattoo on the guy's back was of actress Elizabeth Taylor who was friends with Jackson.

It's fun watching someone watch this for the first time. But having the knowledge of michael jackson makes this video that much more special. Michael jackson love this video. He saw it approved of it. There's so many easter eggs in this video. Oh from michael's other videos. The kid dancing in front of the house that the jackson family grew up in with a mask on like michael war in the eighties. The lean forward is from smooth criminal video. The car with the smoke is from the video, black and white. The step's lighting up Is from the video billy jean. A drummer squaring the white glove is something that michael did on tour. A monkey represents michael jackson's pet monkey. The jacket the lead singer is wearing is blue but the identical jacket, the michael war in a video that was black. A lot of thriller, video things were in this video. ect. ect. Too many more to list. The Jackson family realized how much michael loved this video. They added it to his funeral. This has been on my playlist since the here it came out in 2000. I grew up in the 70's With a lot of great rock bands. But this is still one of my favorite rock songs end video.
