This episode moved me to see Lucifer so desperate because his father was lost, alone, and scared. I think it's the same feeling from a human point of view when we see our parents grow old and lose the strength they once had.

This show is so good! The parallel with trixie getting mad at lucifer ,and he banishing her from the penthouse for a month, I mean ....It's Lucifer rebelling against God, that then banished him from heaven! See , luci , it doesnt mean you cant return to it like ever, it's just a thing that parents do! That's amazing .

I just have to say that Dennis Haysbert as God and his interactions with Trixie and Ella and his sons have been a highlight for me. He just plays so well as being this commanding force when he needs to but at the same time he is just this millenia old with a mindset of a child and when he got smacked I think we could all agree that in some ways we could see a bit of ourselves in Lucifer- NO ONE ABSOLUTELY NO ONE wants to see their parent hurt, no matter what wrongs we believe they've done us, anyone and everyone at that moment will see red and they'll see their "resting devil face" to which they'd regret even laying a finger on them.

I think that Maze has already grown a soul. It happened many years ago. I think exactly when she bonded with Linda, when she first felt connection towards a person and all the emotions towards them. Also Trixie. She loves Trixie. And she loved her all this time.Chloe too. I don’t even talk about Eve...

the actor who plays god is great. first i just knew him as the allstate guy but then started watching the show 24. on that show he plays president david palmer and is amazing in that. it was great seeing him in this show.

I think Maze already grew a soul. She cares about the people in her life and would fight anyone who harms them. So I think God's "can't she?" was rhetorical. That was my interpretation at least. But who knows? They never explicitly stated it so it's up to interpretation and I think it's super cool how u interpreted it in a different way.

Not my favourite episode in 5b, but those parallels between Lucifer/God and Trixie/Chloe are really interesting. And come on, of course Maze has already grown a soul by that moment, she's cared for Trixie, Linda, and Chloe for years. Poor Dan, it's just the start of his misadventures.)))

It didn’t feel right to me that Maze was completely soulless at the end of season 1 when she used the feather-her ticket back to hell, in order to save Amenadiel. And as many comments have pointed out, it was kind of clear in season 2. Does anyone remember the moment Lucifer found out about Chloe being a “gift”? After Lucifer came into the bar where Maze and Mum were waiting to reveal it, Lucifer was so happy (“invincible” he thought), Maze tried to drag him away before he was crushed. Why would a soulless demon care about his feelings?
