I'll update you on the last minute Olympic makeover of Paris, on whether or not we will be able to swim in the Seine river, and on what locals truly think of the games. I really like your enthusiasm but Paris is a disaster and I still don't understand how they chose it to host the Olympics when there are so many better and more prepared cities that could host them (I think the same about the next edition which is in Los Angeles, another disaster of city), the pollution of the air and the river, the garbage in the streets, the crime rate is scandalous, the homeless, the insecurity that exists and I don't understand why they haven't fought against this much before (simply answer, they don't care) and what about the 4 euros per ticket (like WTF???), everything is selling smoke and it's a shame that a city like Paris is so destroyed and that instead of being fine all the time for a long time it's only fine for three weeks and then what? I want to see the number of cases of pickpockets that there'll be and I hope you talk about not only the good but also the bad things that happened after this event.

The Olympic Triathlon starts and ends on Pont Alexandre lll but there's definitely no swimming in the 42.195klm Marathon which concludes at Les Invalides. I've loved watching every one of your vlogs Lucile as we arrive in Paris for 3 nights on 30th July. We've not been to Paris since 2007 although we've travelled to Europe every year since 2017 (except covid years) and are quite excited to visit my favourite city in the world although I can't believe the cost of our hotel accommodation this time. In 2007 we stayed at Hotel du Louvre and this time at a boutique Hotel Le Littre. Keep up your excellent work!!

A couple of weeks ago I was in Paris and whilst on the Seine boat cruise, I managed to spot the 5 Olympic rings on the Eiffel Tower, which I had climbed earlier that day and completely not noticed! It's a nice touch, I must say!

Hi, great video. I assume your video is monetised, in which case, may I ask how you got permission to film the Olympic rings and include them in your footage? My daughter is going to the Paralympics to do a documentary about one of the athletes, and it was made clear to the film crew that they are not allowed to include the rings in any of their shots. I believe that they raise the price of the subway ticket (which is one time use, and must be bought each time you use subway) in ordre to oblige people to use long time ticket or navigo pass

Hotels are not even fully booked. I checked the hotel prices, I thought they were gonna be expensive but they’re actually quite cheap. Even the plane tickets from Canada are not that expensive, I guess tourists are shying away from Olympics and the violence of all the protests that are happening in Paris

Don’t many/most Parisians usually go on vacation for most of August anyway? All the predictions for a transportation nightmare during the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics turned out to be wrong. So many people left the city that the freeways were empty and vehicular traffic was the easiest and fastest it has ever been. Hope you get much the same in Paris!

Muay Thai also becoming an official demonstrations sport at the Paris Olympics ,since it is a demonstrations sports , of course there would be no medal count for this event , For certain sports to have an official recognition spot by the Olympic committee , certain sports should have a federations spans from 50 to 100 countries , I think it’s really make sense since Muay Thai federations itself have a large span from 50 to 100 countries

Sorry, lost all interest in televised sport once the extent of corruption that has been exposed from player (competitor) to management, in the past 10 years. After they allowed professional athletes to compete in the olympics that was the end for me. Also, some of the events that are now part of this circus, who cares!! Most spectators/viewers would not know anything about the sport & once the games are over, the less attractive sports go back to being watched by a mere handful of people.
