Lucina is Underrated

Hope will never die.
I hope you enjoyed this analysis video, I do have some thoughts for vids on other characters too. I could make these longer where it would be more of a rant, or make it shorter. However I think between 8-15 minutes is a good amount of time for a vid like this.

great video! at first i was confused by the title, considering how popular she is - but you're right. she's often underappreciated as a character, which may come from awakening's story sadly underutilizing her outside of cutscene screentime. you did a wonderful job laying out all the reasons lucina is fantastic. she was forced to grow up so fast and struggles in peacetime because of it... her valentine's day alt in heroes makes me tear up, because she just seems so happy and content. it's also fascinating how she is so willing to be ruthless for the greater good (i.e being willing to kill her own mother), but also still deeply empathetic. in the future past dlc, lucina isn't just trying to destroy grima. she wants to understand him, too. she knows he has to be stopped but... couldn't the person beneath the monster be saved? grima is the one who has to convince her to finally deal the finishing blow. lucina is just so deeply kind that it even extends to her worst enemies. i love her a regular amount.

I agree with this, but at the same time...*petition to de-clone Lucina and give her a unique move set that is all her own...this is one of my biggest gripes with Smash Brothers! Also...please make another FEW game, the first was so great, and I would love to see a sequel with more characters in it. I mean come on, you didn't put Peri in it for crying out loud! I know she isn't a fan favorite, but she is a character who enjoys killing, uses a spear, and is somewhat feared by the soldiers of Hoshido. Not adding her to FEW was almost akin to not adding Lu Bu to a Dynasty Warriors game. Love him or Hate him, he should always be there! I Loved the video. Thank you for making it, and doing such a good job with it. Lucina is one of my favorite characters of all time, and I will never stop supporting everyone's favorite time-traveler!!❤

One of the factors for me is that she shares the same english voice actor as Kaguya Shinomiya in Love Is War, Alexis Tipton who is my favorite character in all of fiction (at least in Heroes, Engage and Warriors) . She does a good job replicating Laura's original voice. Lucina is also my favorite charecter in all to Fire Emblem

The thing Ben, is that I don’t dislike Lucina for her character, design or backstory. I do because she’s the sole reason Chrom x M!Robin couldn’t be a thing in Awakening ;) I really like these more into videos about delving about one character you find underapreciated, hope you make more in the future.

I never knew Lucina was considered underrated. Also, Pointy Deamonspanker is ridiculous! I never paired Lucina with Yunaka so I never got to see that.

that was a pretty good analysis of lucina. i think personally that some characters get misrepresented by the fanbase even more than lucina. i think for example tharja, cordelia, olivia and mirabell in awakening gets it the most and i think it mostly because of heroes and other fe spin-offs and some of them making a bad first impression (this mainly goes for mirabell honestly) if you look back at there supports there really interesting characters and if i could i would definitely make a character analysis video on them especially mirabell who i see no love for even though she's one my personal favorite characters at least the other three have pretty big fanbases already. and these are just the awakening characters that came to mind i could probably go on gregor, ricken and say'ri are all character that either don't get enough love or gets misrepresented by the fanbase. there are obviously more characters outside of awakening that get's this treatment but i feel like awakening has one of the worst cases when it comes to this. i went on a bit of a long rent but good video.

Couldn't agree more with all you said here - by the way, nice that you mentioned those fan supports, they're great... and it showed me that I really need to play more of Fire Emblem Warriors (have it, but never finished it for various reasons) to see even more of its supports!

Plus, by playing it myself I'd get to listen to the Japanese voices (the English ones are just as great, but those would also be good practice for my knowledge of that language)!

Lucina from the Fire Emblem series since 2017, Rebecca Randall from Dragonar Academy, Kaguya Shinomiya from Kaguya-Sama: Love is War, Musubi from Sekirei, Sera from Black Summoner, Mizuki Himeji from Baka & Test - Summon the Beasts, Selen Hemein from Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town, Lala Satalin Deviluke from To Love-Ru, Moka Akashiya from Rosario + Vampire, and Mei Hatsume from My Hero Academia are all very iconic characters with the same english voice.

Great video on Lucina! How funny, cause I just finished an 8 Player Team Battle in Smash Ultimate with Lucina as my CPU teammate. It feels so good fighting by her side and winning a match with her! 😁🏆 But yes you are 100% correct, Lucina is definitely a great and amazing character. Hence why she is one of my most favorite protagonists / lords throughout the Fire Emblem Series. 👍 I just wish other people who aren't fans of Lucina just gets the time to truly understand her character rather than just saying "she is a generic protagonist" cause she truly is wonderful. At the end of the day though, I am just really happy seeing a lot of people and even more enjoying Lucina and loving her as a character. Especially with new fans. 🤗 Alexis Tipton does a great job voicing Lucina as well in Fire Emblem Warriros 2017, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Fire Emblem Engage. Alexis Tipton's definitely brings the fun side of Lucina and not just the serious side which I love and adore about Ms. Tipton! And that long clip from 9:21 until 11:22 no worries! I love that support conversation myself! Just seeing both Lucina and Lissa getting scared of the bug and trying to find ways to defeat it "especially Lucina" always makes me crack up and put a smile on me! Too funny! 😄😆🤣 "That was the most exhausting battle I've fought in ages." True that Lucina! 😂 But all in all, Lucina is fantastic and she always has been ever since I saw her, Robin, and Captain Falcon's reveal trailer for Smash 3DS and Smash Wii U. Much love to Lucina and much love to both the actors of her. Thank you for making this. Man, I really gotta try Fire Emblem Awakening one day! Lucina is just the best! "I challenge my fate!" She is a very talented voice actor! Good video as always ♡. I mean, it's okay to love Lucina. (And every character you want) Mhhh, might be wrong but you just proved my point analyzing the supports with the childrens, she resemble Marth with her charisma and all. She is basically a better Marth in tragedy. (I don't say that cause of smash) Being a brave character isn't necessary a quality. I like Lucina for her alchimy with Chrom and Robin. Doing the everyday actions with her father? Well nothing new, saw similar actions for characters like her. I like Lucina more for the impact she had to the story at the start, and her cutscenes are amazing. Lucina ISN'T underrated. To me, she isn't just that particolar. She is heroic,brave *insert more good qualities* and a goofy ass dork(in a very positive way). She is, in the end, a solid character like Marth or others in the series. Many characters are ispiring as her, she simply has a stunning voice acting and quality cutscenes. Sadly my opinion didn't change by an inch, still It was a good watch ^^!.

I absolutely LOVE Lucina, the best girl in Fire Emblem (better than Celica for a couple of reasons), and a great Smash Bros fighter. But in Warriors, if you look closely at 11:54: you'll see Lucina turn Owain around to face the others. By the way, why didn't she call Lissa "aunt"? I find that confusing cuz last I checked, they're related.

Personally, I think she's perfectly rated (and by that I mean I don't think she's underrated or overrated). She's not as overtly loved compared to 10 years ago, but she's definitely got no shortage of fans. Somebody else made this comment, but I feel like Micaiah is one of the more underrated heroes considering she has to share the spotlight with Ike, one of the more highly rated heroes, is a victim of questionable writing (Blood Pact), and has average to lower combat performance compared to most other lords.
