Lucio Fulci's Six Gialli Ranked

This episode I give my rankings of Lucio Fulci's six Gialli. His career covered multiple eras of Gialli and he was along with Argento one of the most consistently good directors of Giallo.

The first time I saw New York Ripper was also the first day I saw Cannibal Holocaust. The most disgusting double feature I ever saw, I almost felt sick. The former, however, I can watch again. You do excellent reviews and I’m really enjoying your channel.

I watched them both for the first time separately, but I watched them together on a double bill recently as a sort of endurance test and my god it was rough 😂 It’s a testament to the power of both those films that I felt a strong urge to take a shower afterwards, to still have that effect after a few viewings of both is impressive, but then, I can’t imagine many individuals becoming truly desensitised to Cannibal Holocaust.

Great topic. Fulci is in my top 5 to 10 of favorite directors of all time :) !. I rank them like this: 1.Don't Torture A Duckling. 2.Lizard In A Woman's Skin. 3.The Psychic. 4.Perversion Story. The top 4 are all pretty much perfect movies for me. 5.New York Ripper. (The motive and reasons of the killer could have been stronger). 6.Murder Rock. (One of the ONLY Fulci movies i don't care for at all). Cheers.

Great. One of my favorite genres (Gialli, not Fulci 😀) I would say (but have seen all only once, except for The Psychic, so maybe after multiple viewings my rating would change): 1. Very similar! I'm not quite sure why Lizard never really connects with me. It's about as well made as any of his.
