These prices are why I can't get into collecting games. Maybe one day down the road I can look into getting some that hold nostalgia for me, and just have them as shelf pieces to remember my childhood lol. Congrats on the sub milestone, and keep up the great work my man!

Is it sad that these prices feel reasonable to me compared to other systems? At this point I don’t blame ya. Even for nostalgias sake I don’t have the connection to new things I buy compared to my childhood stuff. But thinking of doing a video showing a solid playing collection for about 300-400 dollars. Still pricey but when you think new systems are 300-509 with no games at least it’s in the ball park lol

My most expensive PS1 game is Persona 2. It’s not complete (just missing the manual) but that doesn’t bother me too much as it’s been a game I’ve wanted for a while. I got it for an amazing deal (less than $200!!!) Looking at expanding my ps1 collection because it’s only a small selection of games, only got into it recently lmao.

I never heard of Persona over 25 years ago when I bought it in a used game shop. I tried it, but it seemed slow and other games had better graphics. I know Persona now and when I played it this year, 2023, I finally got to battle and I enjoyed it. I was stunned to find we both have Persona as our prized PS1 game.

congrats on 1500 subs! Yeah, Chronicles is great! A solid add to anyone's collection. Seems like PS1 games are dropping a bit in value which is good. Times are also tough with inflation hurting everyone so that's not surprising.

Yea prices coming down is been great, though because of inflation is not. Ps1 at least is still “reasonable” I think most expensive cib is a little over 500. Has been much more fun to collect as of late compared to the older Nintendo/genesis stuff

Lunar 2 is great! you definitely have to get Lunar 1, it comes in a similar box as 2. Its also not as expensive as 2 so should be easier to get.

Great video man, we definitely share the same ps1 sentiments. I stopped collecting around 2021 for good, but i love watching videos like this. I was a hawk for deals, only game on this list I dont have is SH. Mine is a black label, and they barely went for 50 complete when I got it 2018ish. I got almost all jrpgs and srpgs too. Got the same vanguard bandits yellow variant. Excellent format, well produced, flawless narration.

Thank you so much for such a nice comment Dylan. 2021 is when ps1 started really getting out of control so I don’t blame you. I look back at a game hunting vid in 2018 and see Valkyrie profile, azure dreams, tales of destiny 2, chocobo mystery dungeon 2 and want to kick myself man. I got that copy of SH bank in 2018-17 as well. And got it for like 30 dollars man. Was such a good score. Since then I’ve gotten most of the Jrpgs and srpgs too. Koudelka being the biggest one I need right now. Once again though thank you for such nice words on the video and I hope you enjoy otherw if you check them out too

Yeah, Vanguard Bandits primary disk variant is the Ultragunner and the promo/demo disk was a not for resale of Lunar 2 Eternal Blue Complete

I have a sealed Einhander and because of what it's worth I've never opened it, and TBH that irritates me. I need to just burn a copy since I can always do the Tonyhax boot to play a backup, or just play it in emulation.

@@LukesGamerRoom I’ve definitely thought about it. I think at this point I’m praying I stumble across another copy at a pawn or thrift for cheap. Then I could sell the sealed one and play the other to my hearts content! I know that’s extremely unlikely to happen though. I really should just burn one and get on with it. :)

I have 2 copies of persona revelations in mint condition. I got lucky a few years back and got them for 90 a piece. I also and suikoden 2 and I think I payed around 106 for so I glad they are worth so much. I had luner 1 and 2 but unfortunately sold them and I gave away xenogears because I didn't like it. Kinda wish I still had all 3

Oof that hurts on lunar and xeno. What made you buy two copies of persona? Just a big fan of the series and that is a fantastic deal on Suikoden II. That was around the lowest I ever saw it post 2015

Xenogears is one of my favorite RPGs of all time, among Final Fantasy 7 and KOTOR. The mech aspects of it do not define it as an RPG, it's WAY more than that, you'll love it.

Funny you should say this. I actually just beat and reviewed xenogears last month and I absolutely loved it. The second disc was nuts. Def had sone stuff I wasn’t crazy about but what game doesn’t. Truly a classic and I get why it’s so loved now. Such a shame we never got the 6 part series lol

From What i can Tell my Most Expensive games are: Devil's Deception aka Tecmo's Deception Invitation to Darkness for those in NTSC region(Was lucky to find it dirt cheap in a charity Bazaar) Dino Crisis (I got this and DC2 from Cex) Dino Crisis 2 (Cex Buy) Alien Resurrection (Thank god i got this before that blowup video, i bought it from Facebook market for 10e a couple of years ago) Doom (Sealed in original PlayStation Packaging, Got for 5e on facebook market if u can even believe it) Resident Evil Director's Cut (Found this as part of a lot of games with copies and originals found 7 total originals for 40e) Outside of the Dino Crisis Games all my other expensive games were pretty much just sheer dumb luck finds. The amount some games have exploded in value these last few years is sheer insanity. I have other Games but the others mostly still go between 5-20e and anything that does not go past 40 i dont really count as an expensive buy, not yet anyway.

Great video man. Silent hill is incredible. The immersion is unbelievable for a ps1 game. You will piss your pants but that is what makes it great. These videos make me start to consider cashing out. People are crazy paying what they pay. What is the most expensive ps1 game right now?

Yea the prices aren’t as high as they were a year ago but outside of the syphon filter 911 cover variant I think tronn bonne, tail concerto, and persona 1 and 2 are the most expensive atm. Still everything under 700 cib too so it’s so much more affordable compared to the Nintendo stuff lol

Xenogears is probably my favorite PS1 RPG, even over FFVII and I love FFVII. The mechs are very prevalent in it, but the story and characters are what it's all about. The combat system is really unique and the music is phenomenal. I hope Suikoden II gets even cheaper cause I've always wanted it. I actually recently sold a few of my expensive PS1 games because the money was needed elsewhere and it was hard to ignore what I could get. Valkyrie Profile was my most expensive, then Tales of Destiny II, and I also sold Koudelka. Someday I'd love to get these games again, but likely won't be until retro prices crash so I won't hold my breath. I hope to nab a couple more Squaresoft games at the convention I'm going to next week.

Silent Hill is peak PS1 survival horror. Far creepier than the Resi games. Suikoden 2 is not, and I repeat, not operated 😮😂 Ooooh, Persona Revelations, I'm jealous. You should play definitely Persona games 😎👍
