On amazon they say the back plate on tower is just to add stability when attached to tray.

Yeah, they updated the description and even the product I noticed, as now it comes with a magnetic tray that actually has vertical walls, big upgrade! (Enough that I actually bought another one after giving my first one away to a friend)

Hey just wanted to say thanks my gf just got me this for x-mas and i wont lie we derpped and didn't know how to put it together so this was a handy way to figure out where we went wrong. (had it upsidedown 🙄) Anyway thank you for a very informative video all in all. 😊

Yeah, some of these things aren't as obvious as the companies who made them seem to think. I'm STILL not 100% sure what the extra panel on the back is for. lol Glad I could be of some help though! Happy Rolling!
