Jason will never understand Sonny's actions here. Jason believes that Emily's safety is more important that Sonny's needs. Jason would sacrifice his happiness for the safety of the women he loves and can't understand why Sonny is being so selfish.

I couldn’t stand Emily in this storyline and this made me really not like her. There are unspoken rules that you don’t break. You don’t mess with your siblings friends and you also date your friends exes except soaps breaks this rule all the time. Emily was so damn selfish. It wasn’t just about Sonny and Emily hurting Jason, but what about the Quartermaines. Sonny has hurt Emily’s family and yet Emily still chose him over her family.

It was at this point in time when Jason turned into a totally different person, Jason himself was the one who is obviously having a nervous breakdown, Jason himself is the only person who is hurting people, (everyone who he loves everyone who had his back and always stood beside him). Jason is having an emotional breakdown because he isn’t in control of the situation, Jason knows that he has no control over his sisters decisions/her choices, and that puts him into a vulnerable situation. It’s at this very point in time when Jason is hurting everyone close to him, and he is slowly pushing everyone away, starting with Emily, then Sonny and slowly Carly, but soon enough Sam, (the love of his life and his soul mate). Jason is obviously not in any kind of normal nor right state of mind, and Unfortunately it’s not until the end of 08 and the beginning of 09 when Jason finally gets himself back together, back into his right state of mind and back to his good old self, the person who everyone loved, the person whom everyone (well his friends and family) could count on, but most of all the people who had his back (vice versa). It’s at this unfortunate point in time when Jason becomes the person whom was filled with so much anger and hatred, the person whom Jason never ever thought he could be, the person whom Jason never ever wanted to be, it was at this point in time when Jason had no control over his feelings or emotions, it was at this point in time when Jason forgets everything and everyone who is most important in his life. It was at this time when Jason becomes a heartless, soulless, mindless, and hypocritical individual, it’s a this point when Jason becomes nothing more than a robot with no true feelings or emotions, a robot that has no true love or happiness, it’s at this point when Jason loses everything he’s ever lived for and everyone who he’s ever loved and cared about. So as for Lizard who soon becomes Jason’s new sidekick or should I say “Jason’s new menace”, and the only reason this happens is in fact because everyone whom is closest to him knows that he is wrong, everyone whom means the world to Jason knows that he is not himself. So therefore Jason turns to Lizard, (a spineless jellyfish) who knows nothing about loyalty, true friendship nor love, which technically doesn’t say much nor does anything good from it. Jason turns to a person who doesn’t mean much to him, and considering Lizard doesn’t truly know him, then she can’t fully judge him for what he’s doing. I’m just really glad that later on Jason eventually comes to his senses and he finally starts to realize that the evil person who he became wasn’t someone who he liked!! 😢
