His horses do the best sliding stops I've ever seen.

I have always ridden English. I have to say that I have never understood what the point of reining really is.galloping to a slide, high speed backing up half the distance of the arena, then spinning in circles and I think in there are some figure 8 lead changes. I simply dont get the point. It seems like one of the dumbest things that someone can do on a horse. I'm not trying to insult anyone, I just dont think it makes a bit of sense.

What is the point of bouncing up and down on your horses back while trotting? Or having constant pressure on the horses mouth the entire time you ride?

@@probro4048 They're not "bouncing up and down". Posting moves with the horse, not against it. My least favorite thing about reining are these big fat porkers on tiny little horses. The horses are not enjoying this.

@@user-qr8ki8ue4i do English horses enjoy constant pressure on their mouth?? Absolutely not

The point is to do this with light contact and a willing horse who guides one handed. What is the point of the hard contact boring ass dressage horses have to deal with who swoosh their tail contantly not enjoying their work? Reining is about true horsemanship.

@@user-qr8ki8ue4i what about the seated trot. You dorks can't sit a trot to save your life and your horses are basket cases who are afraid of their own shadow. The constant pressure English riders put on their horses mouth and body all the time. Like nagging barn witches.
