Prestige ki ab tak maine time to time 2 cooker buy kiya but utna worth nahi laga. Hawkins ki only 1 cooker last 15 years se use kar rahi hun. So I m thinking again for this Diwali which brand should I buy. Prestige always design change karta hai jo attractive lagta hai but 2 -3 year ke baad smooth work nahi karta. Finally I will go with Hawkins 🙏 Thank you for your review. I always watch your videos. Brass ka cooker aata ho to plz review kijiye.

Don't compare hawkins with prestige. Hawkins steel cookers r world class..Best in class too.

Hawkins steel cooker base is permanent..will not detach..you can do deep fry in it... Prestige base may be detached...you cant do deep fry.....for normal cooking you can use it... Safety is better in Prestige. Hawkins has only one option that is safety valve... Hawkins steel is thicker than Prestige. Weight of Hawkins cooker is more than Prestige... Pressure regulation is far better in Hawkins. Hawkins whistles at 18 psi and whistle stop at 13 to 15 psi..this is as per ISI norms (upto 20% more than the recommended pressure i.e. 15 PSI). Prestige whistles at 15 psi...and whistle stops at 10 PSI. SO Hawkins is more efficient in cooking than Prestige. We have both company steel cooker. But Hawkins is better though both are very good and reputed.

You are right pressure regulation is far better in Hawkins but more pressure (psi) men more unsafe. Second is prestige have more safety valves compare then Hawkins. Third outer lid is easy to clean. Fourth is we can easily use idli etc stands in prestige outer lead. 5th when cooker is full of and we use inner lead sometimes it dip in. So I think prestige outer lead is much better. And one more important information prestige comes with 10 year warranty and Hawkins comes with 5 year warranty. So prestige much better. We use prestige from almost 45 years .

For me Hawkins is the best. More than 15 years, no issues in any utensils yet. Prestige, not so much.
