Good fair and compressive review Isaac, thanks :-)

Hey Dude! Thanks for the review--I just ordered one a couple of days ago and I'm really anxious to get hold of it. Might have to change out my whole harp box. . .

Sure thing, Ray! Yeah, it's just the first day of having them, but I can certainly see how these might become my main blues harmonicas. I'd re-dedicate my current blues set to fill in the gaps in my alternative tunings... Lots of fun so far!!

Sounds good. Seems similar to the SBS

I was a little nervous because I needed a B flat and was going to get a hohner crossover but pulled the trigger on one of these because I wanted to try the low holes. The crossover really isn’t that much more expensive and what can you say it’s a h. Crossover. This Easttop L13 an unknown quantity and is more pricey than their other products. But for a good pro-grade harmonica you have to spend a little money. Your review eased my mind and I’m a little excited now and can’t wait till I receive it. Thanks for the review.

Great Review, Isaac! I've been curious but haven't taken the plunge yet! This is encouraging!

Thanks Chris! I'm still getting to know how to play these harps, but I am enjoying the new possibilities immensely. I will certainly be back with a follow up review.

Now that you've had this for a year and a half how would you review it?
@OneHarp6 жыл бұрын
That's a great question. I've already busted a reed in one (mostly due to a careless retuning attempt on my part). I still find them a bit awkward to play, but to be honest I have not put the time into really getting good at it. Personally, I feel like I would play them more if I retuned them to Easy Third or something like that...

@@OneHarp Just to clarify: The lower octave is a copy of the normal holes 1, 2, 3? also.. Are the other o/blows & o/draws possible?, or does the harp need a lot of work? I noticed you had issues getting smooth blow-bends also
@OneHarp4 жыл бұрын
@@harpman2009 Yes the bottom holes are the same as holes 1, 2, 3 down an octave. On mine, there were some tuning inconsistency across the harp, and they definitely needed basic setup. I'm not the greatest OB player, but I could get most of the 6ob's OOTB, but this isn't what I would call a "great" OB harp. To be honest, I mainly just use them as low harps for rythym playing, rather than as regular harps with the extra low end.

Hi Issac! Thanks for the review! I was looking to get 1 (or more?) special tuned Lucky13, Brendan just announced those Paddy/PowerDraw/PowerBender being manufactured. I wanted to ask if you could easily amend the reeds which were squeeky in this video, and if you can share the faults which you had to fix. Thank you!
@OneHarp6 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I have not had time to work on these harps in the mean time. I still want to fix them up though!! :)

Sorry for the long delay in response... Honestly, I haven't had the time to fix these up. I tried on one, but was rushing and messed up a reed. Have you gotten one since you made this comment?

You think it would be impossible to play oriental scales on the ''lower tree notes'' considering the difficulty of bending ?
@OneHarp6 жыл бұрын
Hmm... I guess it depends on how good your bending skills are? I think it would be very difficult, but not impossible. Proper setup would help.

The only way to replicate Sonny Boy`s low harp sound is on a 12 holed Echo.The rest,well its up to you.
@OneHarp8 жыл бұрын
Ok. But I'm not sure what that has to do with this video or review?
@curleyteeth8 жыл бұрын
I should imagine that most players have heard Rice Miller play the low harp and want to replicate the sound in some way.Thats all.If I could afford a lucky 13 I would buy one.I have many 12 holed echos and like the authentic sound .Just observations to add to the mix One Harp.Keep blowing man.Jim.Liverpool.
@OneHarp8 жыл бұрын
curleyteeth Ah, I see. I suppose that makes some sense. I think one could play some of that stuff on the Lucky 13 pretty easily, though. Octaves are dead easy to do, anyway, on this harp. Might not be able to comp Sonny Boy songs lick for lick, but certainly the Lucky 13 can get you into that Sonny Boy, "9 below 0" type of sound! :)
@curleyteeth8 жыл бұрын
Cheers for that OneHarp.I am glad you did not take my comment the wrong way.It was not meant.A few whiskeys,you know the score.Any how you cannot call yourself OneHarp anymore.Jim.Liverpool.

curleyteeth Yeah, I got like 53 harps by now, lol! And no worries at all, my friend. I was just at first confused because I didn't remember mentioning Sonny boy, but it does make sense to think if his low harp stuff in the context if this new lucky 13. thus far, these harps have been pretty great!
