You can get freeze dried marshmallows in Wall Mart. They are next to the chocolate coco in a plastic jar. They taste the same without the food coloring.

Honestly, I am glad they never went the route of using just marbits and calling it a cereal. Tried it when I was a kid by separating an entire box of Alphabits (which tasted exactly the same), and I had headaches for a good part of the day.

Keep an eye out for ebay mega lots, sometimes they happen. Yard sales for sure too. For some reason, little old ladies like to hold onto old cereal box toys and happy meal toys for their grandkids. (My grandma did this.) Otherwise, I'd just say start with the cheap or easy to find cereal box toys. Like the Garfield locks & pencil toppers.

I love hearing about the classic cereals and certainly adored many of them as a kid (Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, Fruity Pebbles and Quangaroos (an obscure orange cereal that wasn't around for long :-()). I've been off of refined sugar for many years and haven't had a bowl of a single classic since probably the early 80s. What I don't like about many of the modern cereals is that the mascots' eyes look like they're wacked out on ecstasy or something. They don't need the unlikely eyes to sell their cereals. They can stand on their own many merits.

I begged my mom for a box of Lucky Charms in the late 70s because it had a checkerboard on the back and the checkers inside. The cereal eventually got thrown out because I hated it. It was stupid of me, too, because we already had a normal sized checkers set.

My kids use to separate the entire box every time I bought them so we never got the special packaging but we been had the only marshmallows it took lots of time to separate the oats from the marsh but it was fun and enjoyable for them to do and enjoy!

Do you know if there is an amount (in ounces) marked on the box? So 30grams x 11 servings = 330g. 330g=11.64 ounces. 11.64 oz/16 = 72.75% of a pound.

I'm not sure, but the side of the box says that one serving = 3/4 Cup and that there are 9 servings in the box. So you do the math. :)
