My Pinoydar was right. Raphael is Pinoy. Love the band not because his Filipino but because I come from a musical family. Grew up listening to different kind of music. My father also plays the trumpet and started and taught in a brass band. I learning to play the sax. Your, purpose introducing the kid to brass instruments is the same my father's purpose when he started his brass band.
