One year before his death I was 9 and I remember my eldest brother bought a Cd of all his great hits, so grateful to this brother of mine that got me to know this Legend of Reggae "Lucky Dube" for me the best Reggae singer voice and artist ever. I could listen every day to his songs back then and I am telling you that hit a lot when I knew about that sad news of his death.😢 I will be forever a fan. During the apartheid years as a young teen I would head into the mountain near my home in South Africa with meat and cigarettes and a dog that would follow from the neighbours. I'd go there early in the morning and spend the whole day and night with the people who lived in the bushes. We'd smoke and talk and cook and eat and play Lucky Dube very loud from my boom box so that it echoed all over the mountain. I had no idea it was illegal to do that until I was much older. RIP Lucky Dube your were the theme tune to my youth
