You ever have a pinion angle issue where you need shims? Or does the selectable trailing arm mount take care of that?
@SIMPLE.C1010 ай бұрын
I’ve never had pinion angle problems putting it in the second hole from the bottom but yes the crossmember allows you to adjust it.

Is there any reason why you don’t mount the bags between the axle and the crossmember in the notch? Working on mine now and that looks like a pretty good spot with some additional flat stock or something… especially with your new crossmember design. Appreciate all you do! Your videos have helped me a lot along the way
@SIMPLE.C1010 ай бұрын
If I did bag over axle, it wouldn’t get as much lift and the back would drop down further than the front is. I prefer to do it this way to keep things level and easy. Bag over axle is a great option though especially with the simple bridge.
@tylerottesen91310 ай бұрын
Oh I see … I’m still waiting for the pb fab front drop crossmember so I’m kinda playing guessing games on how it’s going to sit… so with the bags on the trailing arms does the frame touch the ground and protect the bag or is the top and bottom of the bag smashing together? If so have you considered a “simple rear bump stop”.

How about Chief or Cochise who was the Chief of the Apache’s?

I like chief but it I have a friend with a truck names that. Thanks for the suggestions! I appreciate it!
@ryanstark11219 ай бұрын
My vote for the Apache is leave the exterior as is. Under the hood like brand new, clean hidden wires. Interior updated, super clean with new technology. Tear it down to the chassis with like QA1 coilovers, track/street. Wide 20" meats. Just a suggestion.
@SIMPLE.C109 ай бұрын
That sounds awesome. For sure leaving the exterior alone. We will have to see about the rest!

I have a question for you. Let’s say in the instance. I don’t use the trailing arms from 10 works or the factory, but some offbrand not saying that I will what do you recommend for the overall length of the spacer with the arm should be if that makes any sense on 22 inch rims
@SIMPLE.C10Ай бұрын
@@dannysteveson6718 you would measure the trailing arm thickness and subtract the factory. It’s probably the same as factory. I don’t see many with a built in block. I wouldn’t buy aftermarket trailing arms unless they are tinworks though. I’d just keep factory.

Why the two different paint and textures on the frame? Just curious...
@SIMPLE.C109 ай бұрын
Everything is finished with the truck bed coating besides my trailing arms which were powder coated before installation. I use the rust restore because it really does a good job of turning the frame into a paintable surface even if there’s a little rust left that I wasn’t able to remove. Then I finish it off with the truck bed coating because I like the textured matte look of it.

I am trying to figure out if I need the monster notch or not. How do I know what size notch I need? I am trying to run 20 inch rims. And put in a air ride. What is best for me? I am working on a 1972 chevy c10 stepside truck. I am wanting to use my factory trailing arm's.
@SIMPLE.C106 ай бұрын
@@ronaldlevingston31 it depends on how low You want to go. With a mini notch you’re not going to get the truck close to the ground. I’ve mini notched a few and regretted it. I wished I had laid it out.
@ronaldlevingston316 ай бұрын
I am wanting to laid it all the way out. And I see some tucks when they are laid out the front tires on some trucks the top of the be leaning in. What will stop that from happening?
@SIMPLE.C106 ай бұрын
@@ronaldlevingston31 most bagged vehicles will have some front wheel camber when fully aired out. You can fix that with an aftermarket drop member but those are expensive. Mine have slight camber but doesn’t look bad.

Thanks for your feedback. I make a rear bag template that makes the back easy Peezy. The process that I explain to bag these c10s make the front and rear level at aired out using almost all factory components. For more advanced builders you could upgrade to a four link and move your bag placement. Sounds like that’s more of what you’re looking for. Any positive feedback you want to share?
