G’day Tim & Co ;-) Nice job and lots of interactive psychology.. Love the Arabian Quarter horse X, it’s a V8 that will go all day! Best workhorse I’ve ever owned and super comfortable ride and super intelligent too. Just got to get with the program and both on the same page.. Just Hook them on a beast, then get out of their way to do their job, otherwise, I’d be dusting myself off and walking back, as she’d finish the job.. loling.. 20 years later.. A chiropractor also helped by realigning her body, that made a marked well-being improvement, as apparently any horse that has a split mane has a Vertebrae skeletal issue. Thanks again for informative interesting videos. With many source blessings with truth clarity love light laughter happiness joy fun play creativity adventures abundance wisdom and may peace be with you all! Victoria Australia xoxo

LOL, a V8 that will go all day.. So true. I trained an arabian one time in cow horse that made it to nationals. I had to have a chiro adjust him about every 90 days. They can move their body in so many weird ways that they are really not supposed to bend that way. LOL.

I have one that I just started trying to tune up and she's just like this ×1000. I ask to turn right and she snaps her neck all the way around to the left. Doesn't want to turn right and wants to plow through everything. She a Missouri fox trotter that hasent been ridden in like 8 years

Looks like she is coming along. Did you ever work her in the round pen saddled and bridled? If she work her mind the A.D.D. might reduce and she would join up. You can reduce head turning there too setting the reins. Just curious..realize your years of experience so not attending to offend. Looking forward to updates and I'd be surprised if she wasn't an Arabian cross too. Thanks for sharing.

I did not work her that way, I probably could have. I generally try to get out of the round pen as quick as I can. Thank you for watching.

Is this issue of no work ethic and trying so hard to get out of work and doing what they want to do ( going where they want) and throwing a hissy fit something that fades with consistent riding? I swear the first couple of minutes after mounting is just this with my gelding right now. I do finally get him going my way and then suddenly it is like a switch turns on and he is good as gold, soft, responsive, nice forward walk and happily doing what I ask. Can they have a period of the terrible 4's ?? I never had issues with my kids but this horse......

Horses do go through terrible 4's.

@@timandersonhorsetraining Any idea how long it might last ??? Just for my sanity's sake 🙂 At least every ride ends well, so far.
@timandersonhorsetraining Жыл бұрын
Mares it will last until they are 6, geldings 5.

@@timandersonhorsetraining Not quite the answer I was hoping for! Not sure exactly when he will turn 5, so we will go 1 day at a time. Thank you.

@@juliehmidmo if it makes you feel any better that's one thing I look for in a performance horse.

I think you made some real progress in getting her on the same page, and she is starting to see the wisdom of your program. I like the narration, and my poor sound on the computer is better with this, but I think if you are talking while you ride, the horse often relaxes more...
@timandersonhorsetraining3 жыл бұрын
Yes the sound is definitely better when I record it this way but I think I give a better description of what I'm doing when I record it from horseback. Everything is a trade off. Thank you for watching.

I have a 5 yr mare that want steer at all I tried riding here yesterday with others an when they took off I held her back an she went to bucking an I come off. What do I need to do I just got her.
@timandersonhorsetraining Жыл бұрын
There could be several reasons why she will not steer. Did she steer when you tried her before you bought her? Does she not know how to steer or does she not steer for you? If she don't know how then she needs to be taught, if she will not steer for you then you need to figure out what you are doing to make her not steer.

What do you do when you have a horse like this thst you think your getting them making progress but after a day off it’s like you’ve never been on them again they seem to be back to their ways
@timandersonhorsetraining2 жыл бұрын
Yes I've had a few like that before. They usually come around but it takes a lot of extra time.
