I like how he kind of talks to Doug like he’s a kid at times saying things like “buddy” “whatcha got there?” Etc. In general the way he acts around Doug reflects that of an actual mascot that works with kids but has gotten more angry over time and is losing his mind. This game does so well with the voice lines it’s just another reason Dark Deception deserves more recognition.

Little theory. What if the joy joy gang represents Doug’s childhood bullies? Doug was abused as a child and probably underfed so there’s a high chance that Doug was very small and weak making him an easy target. That would make sense on why its a fear and how some bullying looks in the eyes of the victim looking cruel, and sadistic. Knowing kids, the fact that he didn’t have a father growing up probably played a factor, if the bullies found that out.

This is very late, but I'll give a specific answer here. In game files, there are 2 of same dialogues but one of them is computerized while other is normal. I've placed that line since Joy Kill Lucky could still speak with Lucky's normal voice, including his phrase "I'm Lucky the freaking rabbit! Nobody beats Lucky, Nobody!" before phase 2 boss battle starts.

Combine original lucky from Dark Deception and sliver lucky in Monster and Mortals Lucky in Dark Deception sound great and ya know and sends lots of death threats to doug Meanwhile sliver lucky in Monster and Mortals voice sound deepen and he sounds drunken and pissed off like when he says "MURDER THIS CHUMP!" like he was saying directing to Hangry or penny angrily for them failing to catch Doug (Or could be Hangry because basically he talks about ribs the entire chapter 4 joy joy land level and am guessing it got in the way of him trying to ACTUALLY capture doug but ridiculously failed and am guessing lucky got fed up and when there was new opponents or Doug coming in there portal again im guessing it resulted to lucky removing his yellow fulfilling yellow colour and rather be sliver and a drunken person WITHOUT Hangry)
