I'm wondering how, exactly, you think dogs and cats became domesticated in the first place. If we had decided long ago "it's not meant to be a pet if it's not already domesticated" nobody would have dogs, cats, birds, etc.

@@tgant2000 Dogs or cats etc are not really a good example. Like the woman said in the video in order to have this animal as a pet his stink glads would need to be removed, no other reason. That is cruel. That would be the same as removing a dogs k-nine teeth or cats claws. I know that there are some people that do this but it is cruel. Also both cats and dogs were domesticated first before having them as real house pets. It's not the same as having their wild counterparts as "pets", they always keep their wild nature and that's how it should be. People need to learn to respect wild animals and that not all animals belong or need to be made as pets. Learn to love animals from afar, love them by just watching them from your window, or documentaries etc.

He is too cute. There are exceptions to keep them if they are injured or too friendly. You have to get papers for him. But some states don't allow. I think a little skunk is easier to keep than some of the other things people keep , which that is fine too as long as they stay invested . He is adorable. Love your accent! It's so calming. I LOVE your video and I wish you could have kept him. My daughter had a skunk - he was almost grown. And she never once ever tried to spray her or her dogs - who loved her also. Cost a lot to getthe food he needed but she bought what he needed. These little animals make the most wonderful pets.

I have one it going to be 3 yrs in June , I'm in Canada ,and no we can't have but I keep mine he a male not decensted live with us in the house free to go anywhere , he got is bed , listens really good know his name , love his bath and get brush he my best pet I have , and this summer I pickup a female one but she got away 3 days later my basement door was left open . they're cute

I had a pair of skunks when I was a kid. Huff and Puff . Cute and super sweet. They had 8 little ones. When they are born with no fur they have the pattern of stripes already on them. You shouldn't have called and told then that you found him. What they don't know won't hurt them

It's incredible how adorable baby animals are. He looks so comfortable and relaxed in your hands. He's definitely getting a leg up on life by having stayed with you for as long as he did. But, the law is meant to be kind to the animal, not our feelings, and he needs to grow up in the wild and contribute to nature as best as he can.

I grew up on a farm. As a child my brother and I found 6 baby skunks in a nest by the barn, we didn’t disturb them but watched every day to see if the mother was feeding them. As it turned out she never came back to take care of them, also we found an adult skunk near the road that was hit by a car so we think it was the mother. We waited a few days and decided to rescue them. They were the sweetest little creatures! They were very loving. We kept them until they were able to make it on their own. They would come back to visit for a while then finally they never came back so we knew they were fine and loving being free and wild.😻

I had one we named Pepe La Pew. It was when I was little,around 8 yrs old. It had been de-skunked. lol. He ahd I used to eat celery with peanut butter spread on it together on the kitchen table. Mom would come in,frown and walk back out. XD

We used to have a few wild skunks who would come in through our cat door and eat our cat kibble in the middle of the night. I ran across them now and then on my way to the bathroom. Even in the dark, I could tell it was them because they crunch kibble much more loudly than cats do. Plus the smell. Never once did they spray me or even threaten to spray me. In fact, they usually didn't even look up from their meal when I rounded the corner. Very chill animals. One of them sprayed my dog once (thankfully not in the house) but I'm sure he deserved it.

She is so tiny and so precious. OMG such a little cute little stinker. When they are that little I know they have the glands that cause the skunk smell. 🦨💨 I have to ask, Do they spray a lot more as a baby? Or since she's used to you does she not spray? My only encounters with skunks has been as I said at a pet store back in the early 70's and the few times I bumped into them in the wild. That odor can be oh so strong!! Yeeesh!! Seriously though, she is absolutely adorable, beautiful, cute, and so precious.

Lucky was about 3 weeks and they can start to spray sometimes after 4 months. If they feel comfortable with you they will not spray. My friend from US had a skunk till he passed and he never spray. He would play and sleep together

I wished he could have his real Mom back. I hope he will be with his kind in some way, shape and form. Every living thing needs a good Mom. I had a Great Mom, and I still miss her very much. I had her in my life for 35 years, but it's never long enough. Somethings you can say to your Mother, that you cannot ever say to anyone else. Great Work Mom.
