I agree with the comment of Flac about Barney Wilen, who remains one of my favorite sax players, except on one point : Barney Wilen, born in Nice (France) March 4, 1937, and dead in Aubervilliers (France) Mai 25,1996, was a FRENCH wunderkind musician, but I was not native from Switzerland ! Excuse my chauvinism !

Yeah, that stood you to me right away, where did that info even come from? haha. Also odd to refer to wind players as part of the "rhythm section." But those notes aside, this is really a fantastic document, a marvelous addition to the Lucky Thompson corpus.

45'10" LARRY ATWELL plays a fabtastically tasty, sparse, no-nonsense, terse, to-the-point, restraint but no-holds barred 50 sec GUITTAAAH SOLO. What an underrated master, was he w McGriff here'n'there ...? Along with Larry Frazier who also always anyways scores heavily & heavenly any x he touches the fretboard ...Sue stuff by Mc Gr is off the CHARTS .... 1:05:40 ALSO THERE, ANOTHER SOLO 40 secs ....such crisp, strong but sensitive chops

Are these all "covers", or there is any original composition? Where can I find the titles?
