i did over 100 raids in the last 5 days, its super easy to know how bad it became, yes the raid boss have been spamming the charge move and also using the move without actually moving at all, the boss just stops attacking then the damage comes out of nowhere.

Yeah I’ve done like 40 and with surf it’s just constant. Gives no time to even dodge and even if you can dodge it gives no time to stay on the attack. If you’re game glitches out at all you have no chance of dodging since the charged moves come so quickly. I had one remote raid with kyogre staring and my pokemon dying 😂. Also the game needs a way for players who start a raid with mins left to be able to get their encounter back if they were kicked out during battle or after, this game is too glitchy to not have that feature. I think everyone has lost atleast 1 or two encounters that way.

@@piouspigeon9327 a really bad balance, those changes even when functional are bad and devolve raids into truly being mashing sessions where as before you could time your moves because every input was buffered including dodges. Many choose to mash but if you wanted too you could actually get really good at raids, being able to dodge and predict a raid boss's moves.

Did over 25 Kyogre raids and have over almost 90% of my Pokémon’s fainted. I’m stopping raids for a couple days, Kyogre killed some of my stronger Pokémon immediately joining the battle, and no a single shiny, best IVs is 93%.

I think something that could "balance" raids is to offer more rewards based on having LESS players. So put them back to the way they were, but then if you do it with only 5 people, you get more xp or stardust or whatever for beating it with less people

The whole thing is a mess.. They completely NUKED like 3m in recent stardust investments I've done by making random starter Pokemon out DPS Legendaries/UB's/Etc (I know this is a ME problem, but most people I know locally who play agree) On top of them claiming it's for a QOL update, then the raid bosses are just machine gun spamming charged moves lmao. At this point I genuinely don't think they play test these updates because who could have let this fly?? This all on top of the game being terribly buggy/crashing constantly since the dynamax update, and it hasn't even fully launched yet.. Not to mention the constant lag for MONTHS in pvp which is a whole other headache.. I'm all for new updates if they make sense but this has been a pointless buggy mess so far. I'll remain as positive and hopefull as I can.. but as of right now, YIKES!

I raid quite a lot but I've stopped for the moment- it's just too broken & more of a hassle than fun atm. Not sure if this was just some accounts, NZ only or it happened elsewhere, but when they turned off the enraged function for Lugia, it also changed the party play boosted charge attack function too. We only had to tap the party play boost circle once & to activate it, then every time the blue circle filled up, our pokemon would automatically use a boosted charge attack for their next charge attack- it was fantastic! The game play & party boost became much smoother & very much worthwhile using. Then we got to the 1st & we were back to having to frantically tap the boost circle in the hopes it'd occasionally activate. The annoying enraged function returned, so everyone in the local community lost interest in doing shadow raids on the weekends. Then the bosses started to deal insane levels of damage- 1 shotting level 50 counters before they even got to a single charge attack & that was me & the people I usually raid with done. I wish they'd ditch the enraged system- shadows are hard enough without the enraged function. The gem requirement basically gatekeeps shadows to highly populated cities with massive active PoGo communities. I'd love for them to bring back the auto apply function of the party play boosted attack- it made being in & using party play a desirable feature of the game & made the raiding experience a lot smoother & enjoyable when raiding with lobbies that are almost always less than half full. We also saw a jump in the number of people coming out to raid in the weekends as word spread of much better raiding had become. Personally, I made a bunch of new local friends using it during the time it was available, as everyone wanted to join parties. Stop overpowering raid bosses. We are forced to do raids to get legendary pokemon dex entries & not everyone has immediate access to dozens of stops & gyms to resource gather for a single raid.

Random raid are only a way for them to steal more money. I have done multiple randoms & been kicked the moment it’s won or when attempting to capture boss, throwing excellent & great curves, throwing silver berries only to have it run. The silver berries DONT help nor does the curve ball. Random are off my participation list. No more money either way

When you’re doing the best Pokémon to power up you should organise it by the most useful first like for example mega diancie because it’s the best rock type and rock type is really important for raids would also love to see a video on recommending what events to wait for for certain reasons like December community day for legacy moves or saving research encounters for 2x stardust

Feels like they're trying to make it more engaging (and harder) when doing raids with 20-full lobbies and scaling up. Some of the raids like mega salamence were actually more easier doing it solo but yeah having to spend revives on a full team vs. 1 mon in a 20-full lobby sucks

For Kyogre the only extreme threat is blizzard and the more common threat is hydro pump. I've been using a under leveled mixed grass team with magnazone and not using my mega sceptile and it's only effected my ability to absorb a person crashing out when using my mega for candies. I believe they will eventually settle on 10% charged move generation with a lock out of some seconds shortly. I think my current teams average CP is 2200 and we're still clearing with 5+ people. Blizzard and psychic spam has been a balancing problem since I came back to the game during COVID and we should be patient while the work it out

My husband and I did Kyogre raid hour yesterday. We used best, optimal counters all were at least level 40 or maxed. Blizzard decimated everything in 1 hit, to where we had to relobby for sure once, sometimes twice, depending on the raid. I used to be able to dodge Blizzard, but since Kyogre would set off 4 attacks at once, it's pretty difficult now

Seems the new strat is to dodge all charge moves. They seem to have made dodging more reliable and slowed down some moves. It used to be near impossible to dodge hydro pump because it would hit almost instantly when it popped up in the feed. Now, ive been able to dodge it 100% of the time. It may still be meta to take charge moves if it's not a heavy hitting move and/or resisted. But definitely need to start dodging anything that hits hard.

I'm not gonna lie. I did a raid party with a group of friends for Shadow Raikou over the weekend? While we got a lot done because we had the right counters, we were getting burned quick when the raid would start with Raikou throwing back to back Shadow-Balls or 6 to 8 Thunders in the span of thirty-seconds. These tweaks, however good-natured, need to go back in the over as they're not improving anything about Raid battles except how quickly Niantic can farm our coins for revives and potions.

On raid days I typically go all out. The Necrozma raids I did like 74 of them. I typically keep 120 max potions and revives during raids like that but I usually get enough heals and revives from the raid itself to not use my stashed max ones. I did one Kyogre raid that was bugged and I had to reload once with a lobby of 7 people. I haven't needed to relobby for the last 6 months in any raid. Right now doesn't seem to be a great time for raiding. Either use one of the apps that matches you with trainers like Poke Genie or Poke Raid so you have a good number of people to raid with. However I've noticed a lot of people doing this and those apps are now flooded with raids.

completely the same experience you are seeing -- Kyoger with Blizzard killed three full sets of my pokemons (probably more like level 30-40 sub-optimal counters vs. your 40-50 optimal counters).

for me it is not even those moments where Kyogre uses Blizzard as it's fast attack that bothers me. what bothers me greatly is that recent pure random nature of the raid boss attack landing. one thing is that the prompt about the raid boss using their attacks, never appears or appears 1-3 seconds too late. then also why is that with for example Blizzard animation happens, my pokemon is inside that block of ice for a sec and then gets out. then maybe 1-2 seconds later that damage lands. sure this sounds good, until you realize that the calculation if you dodged or not, it happens only right before the damage gets taken from your mon's health bar. meaning that i can easily dodge and see that Blizzard block form next to me, but if i don't keep dodging for the next 2 seconds. that block of ice magically makes damage on me anyway. so basically whenever i see any hint of attack animation from the raid boss, i have to start to hop desperately and then i get at best 1-1,5 seconds of attacking time until i have to start hopping around like frog on speed. IF that "xxx landed an attack yyyy" text actually appeared from the raid bosses attacks reliable, then if those attacks actually had animations as well and the dodging would actually work. i mean even before these changes dodging literally only happened after 3-5 swipes later. add the current unreliable attack animations and all the other bs i said above. and suddenly even some 3* raids become hard to complete with two lvl50 players with 4x effective pokemon counters and stuff.

It seems the more damage the boss takes, the more it charges its moves. The larger the raid groups, the More spammy the boss charge moves. Maybe Niantic wants us to use our revives and potions instead of dumping them all the time. Dose Niantic even know what direction they want to take anymore? Why even have a dodge mechanic then. After my experience its realy enoying. Have a full team of level 50 kartanas aswell as level 50 mega sceptile and in a lobby of about 7 people I had to go back to lobby 3 times beckause it spammed blizzard so much (I know for a fact thatt the more people are in the lobby the faster it wil spam aswell) so when my friend did a kyogre raid with 15 people it only used 1 water fall and after thatt it was like blizard was the fast move

They should make it like 10% and not 50% are they insane. If they add so much damage, then they should lower the HP of the boss accordingly to the buffed attack or at least lower its defence by 50% so it takes more damage.

It's busted. I raid quite often and usually run with as little as 3, up to full lobbies. The timing of the charged attacks is off. Kyogre was consistently able to one shot pokemon just coming in, without any indication of a charged attack incoming. They're burning through revives, even when you have optimal teams

I am not even able to dodge, the notifications are super buggy and most of the time they come after the attack, there is no flash on fast attacks and sometimes even successfully dodging I take damage

I really really hope alot of this is fixed when shiny zacian releases. I need it for my shiny living dex in pokemon home since GO will be the only way to get it until a future mainline game

just do raids with at least 6 people and be fine trying to do with smaller groups is the problem

I really want to known things like is a lvl 50 primarina is better than a level 40 Xernes. Or a level 40 primarina better than a Kyogre I’ve caught in a raid but not been able to power up. Counter guide usually just list without considering level but I only usually have budget pokemon bast level 40-44. It’s hard getting legendary candy

Theres absolutely no reason "Kyogre used ___" should be on the screen twice at the same time.

If Niantic doesn't fix raids then i might just quit the game. We were 4 level 46-50 accounts and had to each use about 24 revives for one single Kyogre raid.
