Really thought it was just me lol Restarted playing not too long ago and was about to quit because of the nasty comments, the WoW style rush rush rush no talk in dungeons (actually had a snide comment thrown at me for watching a cut scene for a trial , now I just watch on KZbin later if I can’t duty support it). I dunno I think 14 players get their feelings hurt to easy and WoW players can be assholes, I’ve seen my fair share in both games tbh, I’ve seen 14 players say some pretty foul stuff to, and I’ve seen some of the most extreme cases of crying over the stupidest shit in WoW……i think people in 14 are more careful about what they say and how they say it due to a report system that actually works 😂😂😂 I play both games and this is just my observation, met many good people in 14 and WoW

Anyone who might not know, you can log into the launcher and pre download the 50g patch meow so when the servers are back on you can jump right in (maybe after another small patch or fix but at least the "big" download will be finished.

Been playing since it launched on xbox as definitely had gotten my mileage so far. At the time when Dawntrail gets going, I will have started Shadowbringers (so I know I'm still a ways out before I get to join everyone else). Still, I'm taking my time and enjoying all the classes and leveling them all up. At this moment, I feel like the classes I enjoy most are Machinist, Samurai, and Red Mage (although I have yet to fully explore everything quite yet). Hopefully when we get to Friday and when the game launches, I'll be able to start working towards Dawntrail and maybe get going with it before the summer wraps up. I guess my only other thoughts on these recent updates was the whole thing about the "action change settings" and how deep that might get. From what I gathered something like the 1-2-3 is still going to be there regardless, but I do welcome whatever will help to cut down the number of inputs (or to better organize it so I am not flipping too much between the tabs, which can be a touch tricky at times).

I hope you've activated WXHB and Expanded Crosshotbars and that you're not *actually* "flipping tabs" with a controller. You have more than enough hotbar space on controller to never have to flip any tabs.

100% agreed… i just finished stormblood and i’m in no rush to get to dawntrail… taking my time and enjoying the story, side quest, dungeons etc. i’m mostly looking forward to graphical refresh i feel that’s all this game really needed

@@mas8705 I highly recommend just searching like "ffxiv wxhb" and watching a video that goes through all the extra settings and buttons you can add for easier use with controller. Because honestly, controller has way smoother and easier access to way more buttons than even PC has. *But* you have to actually active them because they're not on by default. It wish I had done it way sooner rather than figuring out about WXHB 5 years into playing XIV on Ps4.

FFXIV is a great game. I dont know how many hours i got, but i play since 2015/2016. The main story is like a bad anime. Meh, predictable, characters written like theyre overpowered children. I dont get it. The ultimate FFXIV experience is buying the expansion for the cool things (dungeons, new class, new areas, trials) but you have to suffer through that fucking shitty writing to get those lol

What they are doing for the glasses to be cosmetic, I have always wanted a coat or jacket for same, so when I go into a snowy area I can just put coat on over regular glam, or a rain coat for rainy weather and not changing my entire glam.

If you try it for free and enjoy it, then you just buy dawntrail and the sub and you're good to go. You can play for free until about lvl 70 so you've got a long time to play for free if you really want to

No as long as you have a level 80 main job you can try the new classes. Has been true for all expansions. Just make sure you buy DT to have access to Picto and Viper

Us MMO players are eating well this year. This is starting to feel like it's 2014 or something when MMO's seemed more popular vs today. I was in the original pre-ARR beta and launch but fell off FF14 right after ARR released. Last summer I decided to take my level 12 Mage and get all caught up and now finally can experience the game and the excitement of a new Expansion launch. While I'm an old school WoW player, I really like the vibe in FF14, the community and overall way most people interact with each other vs. all other MMO's. I'm glad I finally jumped in and gave the game a chance. Preordered and preloaded, can't wait!

Expanded glams would be great. I'm still riding the high of expanded housing limits and won't dare to hope for more glams though. Perhaps after all the armors and such are updated? If I recall correctly the wardrobe code is super sketchy anyway and that is why we can't have one in our houses so they could stand to replace it if possible.

I played it on game pass, it was a boring 20 hours. Guy in my free company said it gets better in Shadow bringers expansion. I asked how long until i get there. He said around 200 hours if I do the main quests and a few side things. I laughed and uninstalled

Though I will argue Heavensward is my 2nd fav expansion behind Shadowbringers. Realm Reborn and Stormblood are painfully boring.
