great vid! thanks for the build!! i like using pale order + 1pc slimecraw + false god + hexos ward... false god provide infinite sustain + minor slayer, while hexos ward gives a 12k shield every 6 seconds (OP AF) while still having a very decent crit change and spell damage... so you can drop harness magicka and replace with a self heal or any minor force source... just soloed coral aerie (normal ofc) today with that build... it's so odd that no one talks about hexos ward on any build, i think it's so insanely OP for solo mag builds

Thank you so much for these guides! I’m new to ESO and have no experience with MMOs either. I started as a magplar because they are easy to learn. The first build I found used two staves. One destruction and one healing. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it either. Combined with my lack of understanding about anything else in the game, I just wasn’t enjoying Eso as much as I’d hoped. Learning everything is a lot of work and not enjoying the combat made it feel like it just wasn’t worth it. I was considering not playing anymore. Then I found your channel. I love your solo magplar build! The daggers are so much more fun than the staff! I’m having an absolute ball in combat now and it’s changed everything. Your other tips and guide vids have been very helpful as well. I have a better idea what I need to worry about while I’m learning and what I can ignore until later. That helps me feel much less overwhelmed and stressed out. I still have a lot to learn but I feel like I can do this now. Definitely want to keep playing and explore this massive world now. Thanks again for all your content. It’s really great when the very experienced and talented players contribute so much to help the community. Improves things for everybody :)

With the 125% critical damage cap now in the game I do not use Medusa but instead Silks of the Sun paired with Burning Spellweave and Grothdarr monster helm since the sets and passives buff all of that delicious flame damage and it works amazingly. Hey Lucky! Thanks for another great solo build. I recently joined a trial guild, so I've been using a couple of your group builds but I noticed that you don't have the Harpooners Wading Kilt on any of them. Is it better this patch to use two 5-piece sets and a monster set or should I be using a kilt? Just curious

Kilt is a situational item, because if anything hits you its a net negative as you will lose your stacks. So in an organized group on the right trials it can be best in slot, and improve your damage by a little bit. For the rest of the content, if an ad or direct damage ability touches you during a boss fight, or trash fight, its lowering your damage. If the whole raid group is wearing it, and the tank is taunting every ad to keep them off the group, slap it on. so the answer is it depends XD

a little harder to play, but easier to work into endgame trial compositions if thats something you're going to get into. or just go dark elf and play whichever suits your fancy whenever you want using the armoury to switch back and forth. thats what i do with my magcro/stamcro

Since the change to gear sets I put Deadly on my MAGDK and it I never looked back. Don't think anything else compares to it for increased damage and superb sustain.

Hey Lucky, great video. Quick question and maybe I found a mistake. On the build site for Solo Magicka Dragonknight Skills, you have both Carve (2H) and Elemental Drain (Destro) on the backbar. Can you tell us what you would replace Carve and/or Ele Drain with if you went with either weapon?

yeah you're fine without it thanks to burning embers now healing you over time :) you can use iceheart monster set for more defense to help out with the lessened healing you are receiving

Do you really need the daggers though instead of a staff on each bar? Most of the time in the vid you had the staff out. I'd rather ranged attack than melee a y day of the week. I just didn't see the point in daggers just for dual weild passives and nothing else.

i dont know what im doing wrong but i tried vet ma with full purple gear with this build and died several times in round 3. unlike my mag templar who was also in full purple using lucky's build and I was able to get flawless conq. : \

nothing will be as easy as magplar, so much health always coming back from one button. likely just need a little time on this build also get your shield up until your dots are ticking. once dots are out, you cant die thanks to ropo

Ok, so I'm mainly a melee type guy. Get in there, pound them down up close. Decided to give this a try. I couldn't quite match your build with 5 Hexo's Ward, 5 Plaguebreak and a 2 piece something that gives extra crit. No pale order ring. I practiced on some 100K mobs in Blackwood. First I just hit them with 3 dots and stood there. First one, dead in 6 seconds, second dead in 7 seconds without even lifting a staff. I thought "this is cool" so I ran to a world boss. Started buffing up and that agroed him. I hit him with the 3 back bar dots and tried moving out of the swing of his melee. I was able to get the 2 front bar dots on him and hit him with a couple molten whip then, BOOM.. I'm dead. Back up, regroup. This time I buffed up out of agro range, ran in hiit him with 1 dot from back bar, danced around, got another on him, more dancing, then the third. Few light attack weaving and the front bar dots, more dancing.. repeat until 1:53 later he's dead. Bit squishy and complicated trying to move and cast at the same time. key 3 & 4 I can do pretty well as they are my spammable. Dots are on other keys and I have to stop, look at the keyboard to make sure I'm on the right key, this gives the mob time to get melee close. (I learned to touch type in high school but never got the hang of numbers without looking, even in my many years as IT I still have to look) Any secrets to that??

Hexos ward should help a lot with survivability. There’s some CP slottables that are rly useful with solo too. Like in the blue tree Reaving Blows is like a mini pale order ring for your direct damage attacks and make sure you get the cp star that gives you 10% dmg reduction from pve mobs.

@@dragonhunter2001 Hexos fires off of an attack (actually critical I think) and the first WB I did not have time to do anything but dot so Hexos never fired. Second time it did fire and gave me that buffer that I like. I will go through my blue tree to see what I've got. I know the one you're talking about, gives you like 7% of the damage done back in healing. I really miss Carve and that way it mows down mobs. I'll run in, pull all the mobs to me and one or two Carve and they are all dead. I gave "Inhale" a try last night and it seems to work almost as good. I found the one you're talking about "Preparation". Nice find. Thanks

Okay I have spent hours trying to figurer this out on my own. How do you get that big inventory on the right side of your UI? (2:18) I have watched 2 of your most recent addon vids, but I still only have that stupid left side scroll up and down inventory/skills etc that you get as default. I am no expert, and all respect to Lucky, as he knows this game far better than me. I have benchmarks that I like my DPS to hit, one of those being the ability to hit a min of 50k in one burst attack. This is usually via executes. With mag DK not having a true execute ability I was only able to get mine to about 45K, so I got frustrated and trashed the build lol. If they ever give mag DK a true execute I’ll jump back in and try, but as of now I far prefer Stam DK, poisons + Major breach + execute with brawler = 😎

Both. Restoration staff spells. Healing spells from classes. Btw I play a necro healer and it's fantastic. She has access to some powerful healing spells + mass resurrection, which is great in trials

definitely thief, in most skill/cp setups you’ll be close to hitting crit damage cap. (especially in group content) Both will def work, but thief will always be fully effective.
