I don't know how you do such great beginners guides when so many others struggle with it, but I guarantee I will watch this in its entirety tonight. You're very good at breaking mechanics down to newbies. Many "beginners" guides are more "intermediate." So, thank you for all the work you put into these types of videos. They are super helpful.

D3 and D4 are the only ARPG I've played. My friends had me get this but I found myself playing less and less after feeling there was just sooooo much stuff that was made needlessly complicated and didn't feel like learning it. I quit playing for a few days but kept seeing POE2 videos on my feed. I saw this vid, checked it out (about 57 mins into it as of this post) and I feel like I'll give it another genuine chance now. I still feel like it's unnecessarily complex just for the sake of being complex, but at least I understand it now. Thanks.

It’s not as complex as you’re making it out to be. Choose the skills you want. Choose support gems that amplify those skills. Choose passives to push damage and build defenses up. The game starts you in an area of the tree that benefits you. All you gotta do is play. It’s that simple. If you’re not doing enough damage then it’s time for a weapon upgrade. Then you can mess with crafting materials if you’re not finding a good rare. Make a white item a magic and augment it if you like the first affix. Don’t waste “upgrade to rare” currency unless you know you’ve got a good item. Early they will be scarce. You can open your gem tab while inventory is open to compare how new weapon affects your skills. I would advise keeping old until you test drive the new weapon in case there is something you don’t like. Get used to dodging attacks and kiting (moving while attacking). Sometimes all you need to avoid an attack is a little bit of movement. You can always go back and farm old bosses/areas for drops and xp if you need to. This game can be as simple or hard as you want it to be. Learn as you go.

Just starting the video but i would like to say. If you are already in motion some skills with still allow you to strafe in said direction while using the skill for Mouse & Keyboard

I noticed that in your graphics settings, your Upscale Mode setting is set to NIS, and I'd recommend switching to Nvidia DLSS, given your graphics card. I just discovered that today and it made a pretty big difference in improving the graphics.

Wonderful guide, many thanks from a wannabe good player. Got a little confused when you talked about emotions. One minute you said you could pick a random point on your passive tree, then the next you were talking about putting it on an amulet instead. So I still dont know what to do if I want to put it on the passive tree. Would be great if you could explain that step further. Once again, many thanks. Sorry to be a noob.

Combine 3 of the emotions with an amulet to place any notable from the tree onto the amulet, thereby unlocking it without having to path to it

Im an old veteran of d1 and d2 and act one in this game (as far as i have gotten) feels as close to D2 as any game i've played - all the dodging aside. 😊

In general I find it a lot more rewarding to find items myself or create them myself then to go on a trading website and grab them off of there. In short - I enjoy playing the game more then I enjoy the trading website :) but trading is definitely a shortcut to power
