Hey, how has your experience been with WoW so far? I've been debating getting into WoW but wanted to hear some other new player experiences before!
@dmytrosprynsian95417 ай бұрын
@@joelperez5471 Hey, I played SoD actively for a month or so during phase 1 (lvl 25 max) and stopped as it became boring. Now it's in phase 3 and should have more things to do (also lvl 50 max now). While I stopped playing SoD, I switched to Classic wotlk. In which I got to about lvl 60-70 and stopped as well. I know that there is a lot to experience at lvl 80, but it was too repetitive for me, and I realized that I'm not enjoying it anymore. And I never tried Retail, so can't say anything about it. Overall, things I liked: - huge world without loading screens (interesting that they managed to achieve it so many years ago) - lore (it's WOW, I don't think this needs much explanation) - quite relaxing majority of the time (positive if that's what you're looking for) - nice community (at least in Classic) Things I didn't like: - you will suffer without addons and macros (I don't get why can't they just make it convenient without those) - too relaxing, you can watch a movie at the same time (majority of the time you will be killing mobs without active engagement in the gameplay) - becomes overly repetitive (like with many MMOs, make sure not to ask yourself why you still playing this :D ) As you can tell my experience was quite limited and I'm probably not the best source of information.
@dmytrosprynsian95417 ай бұрын
@@joelperez5471 Hey, I'm sure I replied explaining my experience in details, but my comment is not showing for whatever reason. I will reply shorter then - SoD became boring for me in the middle of phase 1 and I switched to Classic wotlk where I got to lvl 65 or so and left as well. Overall experience was okay, but I lost interest to it faster comparing to other MMOs that I played.

My wife and I just started playing WoW Classic and we came into the problem of anytime we searched something to learn more about WoW, we were met with a bunch of advanced, end game guides. For example, I looked up "where to buy mounts" and the top 8 recommended videos were "Best Mounts in Game!!" And "How to Get the Rarest Mounts!" Things that really weren't applicable to us. Right as we were about to give up on this game, we found your guide and it uas helped so much, that we are not uninstalling and are instead moving forward with great passion! Thank you so much!

great video! i do a few things everytime i log a new character. 1 hit V, it turns on enemy healthbars (in large open world or multi raid pvp i hit shift v to show friendly HP bars) goto options by hitting esc or the computer at the bottom, under options i click auto loot. Then goto interface and turn off helm and cloak. Under action bars i just click all 4 bars not just the 2 the author here does. under combat i turn on "enable floating combat text, and select "scroll down". This makes outgoing damage and healing go up while incomming damage and healing goes down. I also use a multi button mouse with 12 thumb buttons so i do some fancy keybindings making them my auto run, personal/raid & groupbuffs. on my characters with healing i make the f1 through f8 buttons the action bar above my primary bar so i can just move up a row and off heal. I also go into the options on my chat settings and select "show class colors" on general and global settings, Dont forget to select lfg and any other channels under global you would like to join. good luck and may the wow gods bless you with epic loot.

Two things worth mentioning also; Alliance (With possibly one exception on the Horde side) early game leveling is generally considered faster. The quests are generally closer together and you don't need to travel so much ground between them. Again, this is a generality but it holds true most of the time. Also, even if you have an aversion to playing with other people and you are used to soloing, do yourself a favor. Find a guild. While you can absolutely solo a lot of the stuff in the game if you really want to, the experience is going to be much more difficult and time-intensive. Being able to trade/barter items and have another body there to help you take stuff down is a godsend and will cut off a substantial chunk of the grind when leveling.

Having played a rogue in WOW vanilla for 10 years before I retired, I can say confidently Rogues do NOT have "great dps" nor is a class that is group-friendly. Lock picking was ALWAYS insignificant skill. Last, it was difficult to play a rogue because the class offers little group utility when compared to a mage, warlock, paladin, shaman, or druid. Play rogue ONLY if you PREFER to play alone and don't mind being hated by other players.

I have always wanted another mail-class healer. Since the hunter is the only one (SoD) without another role (why?) let's fix that. Healing traps, stings, AoE multishot or rain, and high value and slow ST heals. Tracking down pets with new healing abilities would be great.

16:29 this can also be a negative in certain situations. There have been many times when playing as a gnome where I couldn't cast on a target because I was too short to see them.
