I loved the intensity of Gaia. She didn't do anything half heartedly but gave it her all. The complexity of Lucretia was something that I have come to love beyond words. It created so many extra layers to her character. Their relationship was based on a mutual true love and it was so sad to see that gone.

They truly loved each other. She did make Lucretia happy and although she returned to Capua for her own personal gain, she also came back for Lucretia. I was sad when she was killed. I wished they had kept her for the whole series. I like Ilythia, but the relationship between Gaia and Lucretia is far more loving and less twisted than the one Lucretia has with Ilythia

Xena and Gaby is much better
