@@lavscapcut There’s two reasons it’s more likely to be Maude Ivory. 1.) Lucy Gray is either dead or ran away from Panem. She wouldn’t risk returning to District 12 after everything. Meanwhile, Maude Ivory stayed behind and probably got integrated into District 12 culture, meeting someone from the Seam and having a kid (Katniss’s father). 2.) The math. According to Catching Fire, Katniss’s mother is 16 during the 50th Games. Unless Katniss’s father was a lot older than her mother, he probably wasn’t Lucy Gray’s son. But Maude Ivory could’ve had him in her late twenties/early thirties, and he would’ve been in his late teens/early twenties during the 50th Games. A final thing that’s interesting in the books is that there’s a lot of mention of Maude Ivory carrying on Lucy Gray’s singing legacy. Lucy Gray sings the valley song to calm her to sleep (the same one Katniss sings to Prim and Rue, and later her own children). There’s also mention of Maude Ivory liking “The Hanging Tree”, which Katniss learns from her father. The lineage from Lucy Gray to Katniss seems to be one more of music than genetic heritage, with Maude Ivory being Lucy Gray’s musical successor, then Katniss’s father, then Katniss.

Now dont come at me for this one, But my opinion on Lucy Gray yes she is a great charatcer and all but she used the shit out of coriolanus snow literally when she left him she said "im not made of sugar" she basically admitted being a devil after all he did for her risked his life a million times. Thats how she repayed him Leaving him, without saying a word Wtf kind of gf is that?? Like at this point no wonder he hated katniss later on the main reason why is because he saw lucy in her which he was wrong but he was mentally traumatized from her leaving and not saying anything. Like wtf what did he do so wrong to deserve that?? No offense to Lucy Gray cuz she was a good character but right when she did that I immediately stopped liking her. And yes she is iconic but for me just i dont like her

i mean… i respect your opinion and i can see how coryo would have felt betrayed, but to be fair he lied to her about killing sejanus, and once she realized that she didnt trust him, she got scared he would kill her too, because he was very manipulative and used her a lot in the beginning of their relationship. yes lucy gray did use him to survive at least a little but i dont think shes the devil. once she fell in love with him she stopped using him, and only left because she didnt trust him. i think lucy gray always did what she had to survive, leaving coryo was part of that. but anywho everyone has their own opinions, so agree to disagree on that one

@@lavscapcut to me she had barely, and an unlikeable character. in the cage scene she immeadiatly seemed to be attracted to snow which is unrealistic given the situation they were in at that moment. the bow was CRINGE. she made no character development after the games. and the singing felt so unnecasary idc that its called ballad of songbirds. to me there was no reason to like her or root for her. there was no depth. the accent threw me off too.

So much potential wasted... Should have made 2 parts. Most of the important and interesting content from the books just isn#t in the movie. I was really sad, because I love the book. Read it like 20 times, the movie was really disappointing. And I don't like Zegler. But that's something I can deal with. But the movie itself was just bad when you know the book and it's potential...
