This is why Ringo is the greatest rock drummer of all time.

Not quite, but that isn't to say he's a bad drummer.
@leefinkel66793 жыл бұрын
@@Ameriken91 I think he is the greatest. Ask any pro drummer and they will tell you the same. The backbeat is the base for a song. If a drummer can come up with a few great backbeats in his career, he is a good drummer. Nobody came up with more great song backbeats than Ringo. All rock drummers learned by trying to imitate Ringo. Also, metronomes use Ringo to keep time.

Great tone on those drums! And he is Playing The Song - not trying to show off a flashy technique. So musical and also in the groove. Wonderful stuff!

From John's odd guide vocal, this was actually a very early take. We hear Ringo's drums isolated, but without any kind of pre-mixing attention that would bring the raw track under control. Kind of unfair to really judge his drumming this way.

Ringo was quite economical but also played with conviction. The hi-hat sound here is ridiculously good.

It proves that sometimes a tambourine is all that's needed... anything more would be much too heavy... I've played just tambourine sometimes it bongoes..full drums would be just to heavy... drown it all.. well done Ringo

So, what’s with the vocal bleed through? Is it because they had limited tracks when they recorded or because someone had to manipulate the audio to isolate the drum track?
@cole13 жыл бұрын
Most likely it's from Ringo's headphones

@montyhughes2713 жыл бұрын
It's because, almost always, they got together in the studio and played like a band. Ringo was seperated with sound baffles, but some ambient sound leaked through. Even during Pepper they would all play on the basic traçk, then do overdubs.
@Earthtime39783 жыл бұрын
