It’s looks more and more like Lucy Letby was set up
@Lredfloss112 күн бұрын
I don't think she was set up by the NHS, she had their backing to start with. I believe the consultants grew to dislike her as she would point out their failings, then they affected opinion with gossip and things just kind of snowballed after she complained about bullying. I think things (lies and gossip) got away from them and grew a life of their own as they had to make their gossip seem legitimate by calling the police . They've probably even convinced themselves their stories are 100% true, easier narrative to give to yourself that you couldn't stop a serial killer nurse (ludicrous) than "babies died because I was incompetent/not putting the hours in"

When they do that they will never admit they are wrong. It's like the Tommy Robinson thing with the immigrant who caused all the trouble at that school then they accused a kid of water boarding when the immigrant had threatened to rape the kids sister. They shut the school down and paid hundreds of thousands in hush money. Absolutely vile behaviour

They put the infant on a respirator with incorrectly high pressure!! So, the infant's lungs were blown up like a balloon, pushing the liver downward in the abdomen. If the child hadn't been put on a respirator or the pressure of the respirator was correct, the lungs wouldn't have expanded and the liver wouldn't have been pushed into the abdomen. Looks like a case of utter incompetence all around, that the NHS wouldn't mind covering up by use of a hapless patsy. Enter stage left: Lucy Letby.

@markwhite3958 I have. The collapse happened before the needle, and post-mortem confirmed no haemorrhage (which you would have if the blood volume halved as Dr. Taylor asserts). So narrating a hypothetical scenario does not equal evidence.

That poor little baby, came into the world already fighting for its life, wholly dependent upon medical professionals, let down by incompetent and dishonest people who should have known better. What a sad story for this Christmas season. Those medical professionals owed that little child a chance, at the very least. They should have done their best. Instead they did their worst, and then covered up their crimes, and blamed someone else!They need to be dealt with appropriately by the legal system. Rest in peace little one.

There's a very good chance that both those triplets would have survived if they had received good medical care. Tragically they had the misfortune to be born at the CoCH and been under the care of incompetent doctors like Stephen Brearey.

I’m a registered nurse of 30 years plus in theatres and critical care. Doctors are well known for covering up for each other whereas nurses are known for throwing each other under the bus and I’ve seen it several times first hand! I have looked at a lot of the material and data surrounding this case and I believe that Lucy Letby is likely to have been the victim of a terrible miscarriage of justice. Let’s hope that campaigners are successful in getting a retrial, but sadly, it looks as if the same powers that protected Madeleine McCann’s parents are at play here too!

Thank you for raising this. I doubt Brearey will go to prison for this, just as the consultants in the same team who killed baby Noah Robinson a year before the supposed Letby cases (for want of a better term) were given a ticking off and anonymity. However as the Chester witch trials unravel in full public view it may be he ends up charged with perjury. This has not yet happened to those responsible for the Post Office scandal but is a possibility. I’d be interested in your views on that

Dr Taylor isn't the author of that report. He was supplying a brief synopsis of a very thorough joint report that has recently been prepared by 2 of the external neonatology consultants working with the new defence team. Apparently the external consultants have been given full access to the medical records. They initially worked on separate reports and then came together to produce the joint report having come to the same conclusions. Anyone who as watched the full original broadcast of the news conference (still available via multiple websites) would know this.

The needle was inserted in the abdomen during resuscitation (the baby had already had a cardiac arrest before the needle was inserted). Baby O's abdomen was distended so a needle was inserted to decompress - it didn't work, which is a shame. Did it cause the death? No. The baby was already dying at that point, Dr. Taylor ignored that this baby was in shock much before the needle was inserted. Post mortem didn't show hemorrhage, which would be evident if blood loss was the cause of death. Liver laceration doesn't fit with needle injury. The whole scenario is completely hypothetical, and was actually discussed and debunked in the trials. What's interesting is how quick you are to assume Dr. Brearey is guilty till proven innocent. Ignoring the very legal principle on which you claim Lucy is innocent.
