As soon as Cindy read that letter and the theme returned, I teared up. It broke my heart when all that time Ian thought and believed that his own daughter hated him, when in the end, he realised that she would always love him no matter what and she wanted to make things right with him. Poor Ian, this is going to be an episode we'll never forget.

Does anyone else feel that Lucy's death has affected them more than they ever expected? I've watched EastEnders since the start and even though Lucy died 10 months ago it didn't seem any different to any other death at the time. After the live episodes it feels much worse, as though she's only just died and we're only just finding out about it for the first time. The characters and story may be fictional but the feelings they evoke in people aren't. It feels very sad to have lost not only Lucy but a great actress in Hetti.

Yes. It happens a lot of US Soaps. When Maureen Bauer #2 died on Guiding Light (US) fans were very angry that they let Ellen Parker go although she came back as a "Ghost" to help her Family. Then when Jim Davis (Jock Ewing) on Dallas died in 1981, the dynamics of the Show changed a lot. When All My Children 1970-2011 and One Life To Live 1968-2013 had "Anniversary" Shows, Agnes Nixon The Creator of both made Cameo Appearances either as a Hospital Administrator or as a Ghost.

Boy this was so 180% from when Guiding Light celebrated it's 60th Anniversary in 1997. They had a One Week Storyline where there was a Ball celebrating the birth of the Town Hospital. It was glamour and glitz, nothing like this and in 2007 when they celebrated 70th they showed how it was originally done in Chicago, on the Radio.

How do the Young Actors on These Soaps handle their education? In The US Some were students at New York's High School Of Performing Arts most notably Carmen Thomas how played Hillary Wilson Martin on All My Children and Rachel Miner (Ex Mrs. McCauley Culkin) who played Michelle Bauer on Guiding Light. Sadly enough Rachel is battling MS.

All child actors of compulsory school age have to be tutored on set when filming. They're not used so much and many go to normal state schools, some go private or theatre school. They're just normal kids.

@@jazzsharp2677 Very Good. Alot of Boy Band Icons had Tutors growing up. Michael Jackson, Joe McIntyre (New Kids On The Block), Justin Timberlake and even Justin Beiber were tutored. Very smart move. Alot of American Child Stars have no education let alone lifeskill lessons. Danny Bonaduce (Ex Danny Partridge) The Partridge Family admitted that if he wasn't Danny Partridge, he would have ended up in a Factory for having no appreciable skills. Fred Savage (Ex Kevin Arnold The Wonder Years) and his Castmates Danica McKellar (Winnie) and Josh Saviano (Josh) all graduated from College. Josh is now a Lawyer and Danica is a Mathmetician and did several Hallmark Movies.

Then on top of tutoring, they have chaperones looking after them. All production companies have safeguarding policies and safeguarding training like schools, social services, police, and work with all these other agencies.
