Statement by Australian Youth Representative at the Informal Debate on Third Committee priorities for Youth Delegates, 21 October 2020.

Lucy Stronach is the 2021 Australian Youth Representative to the United Nations. Lucy delivered this speech during the week of the 75th Session of the General Assembly, at the Informal Debate on Third Committee priorities for Youth Delegates.
Talking about how to best further the Youth2030 Strategy, Lucy highlights how our decision-making processes need to be more inclusive and accessible to all people, most prominently, young people and young women.
Lucy calls for the inclusion of marginalised actors in decision-making processes and utilising the weight of the Youth Representative Program and the United Nations to lay the foundation for young Australians to feel empowered to create solutions to the issue we see as most problematic.
