I have memories watching Lion King as a child, but also of the first time I started listening to the music on KZbin as a teenager. For me, it started with the story of Troy. I became obsessed with ancient Kingdoms and Empires of the South and East. I wanted to journey back in time to the age where all the legends and myths were born. I knew a bit about Egypt, so it was too familiar to me. I wanted an ancient and far off kingdom that neither I or people around me knew. I settled first on the Hittites and then Babylonians. I spent hours and hours as a kid re-creating their ancient cities, without even having a reference point. I just read a bit about them and then let my mind fill in the rest. I also made up many stories in my head along the way, a lot of which were related to Lion King in some way. It was a very fun and exciting experience, and a part of me misses those ancient kingdoms I created in my head; with vast deserts, beaches and grass planes with Acacia trees. Lions roaming the wilderness, with natural formations of rocks; mountains and caves that once sheltered human ancestors but have long been forgotten. Then a giant kingdom with Bronze Age walls and as many temples, barracks, hutts and fortresses the game would allow. I remember raising the terrain in order to create grand architecture out of multiple buildings which were never intended for that purpose. My friends at the time were into playing the game as it was meant to be played, but this was my passion. I also did the same thing with Empire Earth and Rise of Nations.

It is probably the most beautiful song from the lion king, and it can also have a very deep meaning. First of all: EVERYONE CAN INTERPRET THIS SONG DIFFERENTLY AND THAT IS THE BEST. ! ! ! !! EVERYONE CAN ASSOCIATE WITH SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND WE SHOULD TOLERATE THAT ! ! ! ! ! ! ! In this beautiful fairy tale, it is of course about Mufasa, whose spirit watches over Simba, looks down like a guardian, and is his support in difficult moments. HE LIVES IN HIM. And that is a beautiful version that absolutely does not exclude others. Remember what I wrote at the beginning, everyone interprets it differently For me (as a Christian) the song contains a beautiful metaphor of God, living in us and looking down. And that was the first thing that came to my mind after hearing these words: He lives in you He lives in me After all, God is also our father who sees everything and is everywhere: He watches over Everything we see God is in the air, water, truth and in everything he created: Into the water Into the truth In your reflection Mufasa sacrificed his life to save his son, he was very wise, he gave his son knowledge and warnings, he wanted peace and harmony. He watches over Simba and his kingdom and helps him choose the right path. Doesn't that remind you of something? For others it can mean a close person (parent, grandparent, brother, friend) who after death is still with us (like Mufasa with Simba), watching over us and helping us through the darkest moments of our lives. PS. The Lion King will always be my favorite movie ❤️❤️❤️

My Sister and I are adamant that this song is to be played at our Grandfather's funeral. He isn't dead, not yet anyway, but he's 94 this year and he's spending more and more time asleep. He thinks he's a silly old man, but he has no idea just how much he's shaped our lives. And he will live in us, because a world where he is gone completely is a world we cannot abide.

Because Jesus is a king and a lion. He is the only truth and only God capable of living in us and watch over us at the same time. He is the only one not limited by any great mountain nor the depth of water. He made everything we see… No physical lion has ability to do all those things
