Einblicke in den Luxus Nistkasten

Ein doch eher seltener Einblick in das Nist- und Brutverhalten der Wellensittiche.
Der Nistkasten hat ein Vorderteil zum wegschieben, damit man einen kurzen Blick in den Nistkasten werfen kann, um nachzuschauen, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Naürlich ist der offene Zustand, in dem ich diesen Film gedreht habe, nur für diesen kurzen Moment der Aufnahme gestellt worden. da kann man den Kasten geschlossen sehen. Und geschlossen ist er die ganze Zeit.

Your right about confused. It's not the right way to go about breeding birds. Birds like it secluded it keeps the birds calm. Seeing all the birds flying outside the box through the clear plastic is sending the hen skatty. Why change something if it doesn't need fixing. They could of easy fitted a little camera in the box or set it on the side of the box. To me this is amateur work.

LaresThueringen Hallo Lars, danke für die Nachricht, es handelt sich bei der Plexiglasscheibe nur um die Ermöglichung einer kurzfristigen Beobachtung der Vögel und der Jungen bzw. der Anzahl der Eier. In einem meiner anderen Videos sieht man die normale Vorderseite des Nistkastens, und da ist selbstversändlich eine Stange angebracht. Diese hölzerne Vorderseite wird seitlich eingeschoben, im Normalfall ist der Nistkasten natürlich immer vorn geschlossen, er wurde nur kurz für dieses Video geöffnet, damit man mal das Leben inside sehen kann.

Bjoern Hallandsen Ja, denn Wellensittiche brüten auch in der Natur in einfachen Nisthöhlen und benötigen keine Gräser usw. Meine Wellis befördern jegliches Material sofort wieder nach draußen, selbst Sand wird Maul für Maul von den Weibchen nach draußen geworfen.

Hallo :) ich hätte eine Frage, ich würde meine stinker gerne brüten lassen in meiner madeira Double. die voliere ist 85cm hoch, ganz unten an den seiten sind 2 Türen und ganz oben jeweils eine. wo bringe ich den Kasten an? ganz unten wäre es ja wahrscheinlich zu tief. aber ganz oben, auf fast 80cm Höhe, ist das nicht zu hoch? also passiert da nix? Diese Öffnung würde ich persönlich auch bevorzugen, hab nur angst dass die jungvögel aus dem Kasten fallen oder selber herauskrabbeln und aber noch nicht fliegen können. oder muss ich dann meinen Käfig umgestalten?

+huh 99 Ganz oben ist die richtige Stelle dafür; wegen dem Herausfallen brauchen sie sich keine Sorgen zu machen, wenn die Jungen etwas zu früh aus dem Nistkasten springen, werden sie durch ihr Federkleid doch genügend geschützt, die Eltern füttern sie dann einfach am Boden weiter. Sie könnnen die Jungen aber auch problemlos wieder in den Nistkasten setzen, nur wenn es öfter hintereinander passiert sollte man es akzeptieren, dann hat es einfach was mit Platzmangel im Nistkasten zu tun, abhängig von der Menge der Jungen.

Selbstverständlich, das sollte man sogar unbedingt tun, Wellensittiche allein zu halten wäre nicht artgerecht. Man sollte wenn es geht aber versuchen, zu einem erwachsenen Vogel auch einen annähernd gleich alten Vogel zu setzen. Wenn dies mangels gleichaltrigem Vogel nicht geht, zumindest keinen zu jungen Vogel nehmen, also einen der gerade mal 3-6 Monate alt ist.

MaxikingVip Am besten bringst du den Nistkasten aussen am Käfig an, damit drinnen nicht zuviel Platz verloren geht. Außerdem kannst du so auch leichter hereinschauen während des Brutvorganges. Bitte kein Nistmaterial hinein, weil Wellis auf dem nackten Holzboden brüten. Gib ihnen wichtige Dinge wie einen Kalkstein, Leckerbissen wie Basilikum und Löwenzahn, dieses Grünzeug fördert die Brutbereitschaft beim Welli. Keine Spiegel in den Käfig, sowas ist schädlich für die Vögel. Und bringe Geduld mit. Sowas dauert manchmal ein wenig länger. Zwischendurch kannst du ihnen auch ruhig mal Eifutter oder einen Teil von einem hartgekochten Ei geben, da fahren sie voll drauf ab, allerdings nur auf das weiße des Eies.

WE MUST PAY ATTENTION TO DOMESTIC BIRD BREEDERS AND VETS and keep in mind that although we feed them with such a typical seeds mixture, our birds are very likely in danger of suffering a painful and unexpected *PREMATURE DEATH BY FATTY LIVER DISEASE.* Canaries, for example, will surely die at 4 - 7 years of age of the more than 15 that they can live. This is so because *the typical mixture contains low-fat seeds such as canary seed together with other VERY fatty seeds such as niger, hemp or nabine and, in addition, the birds usually prefer to eat the fatty seeds* so that their REAL DIET is unbalanced by excessive fat, gradually causes the fatty infiltration of the liver and in a few years causes fatty liver hepatitis and PREMATURE DEATH to pet birds. *Also the fruits because its sugars and specially the breeding paste and its pigments and THE SUNFLOWER SEEDS ATTACK THE LIVER* if they are taken too much or for too long.
