btdubs, waiststrap DOES redistribute weight to your waist/center of gravity but ONLY if your backpack is properly fitted to your spine and you're walking. All the hunters should have done was look up what would happen in the worst case scenario, he takes the train to brussels, that leaves them out for a lot of hours, but maybe if he went to the other station they tought he was going, and they went to saintquitain, maybe there was a faster way of getting to him either way, and you always have the possibility to go higher north to brussles, which he should go through either train. I think staying on would have been a bettee choise 100% of the time
