Hehehe, what's worse, it's like recording five pieces in a row. You don't wanna know how much time I spent practicing and recording to get there... 😜 Thanks for listening and commenting :)

Still looks pretty difficult to me, Luuu. I wonder if the secret to a good transcription is to rewrite the piece *as if* the composer were writing it for the guitar. Of course, there’s no way of knowing how Ludwig might have gone about this and he might well have ended up, like a rock star, smashing his guitar! Anyway, this is great playing and an admirable achievement. Best regards, Phil

Hi Phil, thanks a lot for your comment, I'm glad you liked it. When I started to learn this piece I wouldn't have thought that it would be possible for me to record it, because some passages seemed quite challenging, but then I started looking for solutions and made a few but helpful decisions following your idea of the secret of a good transcription. Whenever possible I try to stick to the original notes, but in the end, I think it's better to change two or three accompaniment notes of a phrase to be able to play it really well, than to break your fingers just to play the original notes which may be easy to find on the piano but probably wouldn't have been chosen by a guitar composer. Hope good old Ludwig wouldn't have smashed MY guitar for handling my transcription this way, hehehe 😜 However, it may still look more difficult than it actually is, but what makes it hard to get a good recording is the duration of the piece. I had to spend a lot of time practicing and recording, but now that I fulfilled my goal I think it was worth making that effort. All the best for you, hope to hear from you soon 🎶 Luuu

For sure, Luuu, getting a video of longer pieces is really difficult, even the easier ones; I find a bit of panic sets in as I approach the finishing line: that demon voice in your head that tells you you’re about to fuck up.
@Luuu-Music Жыл бұрын
@@PhilMcKelliget 😂 Hahaha, I'm so relieved that you know that demon too! The longer and better the recording, the louder that voice will be... I really wonder how professional musicians deal with that problem! Relaxation hypnosis?!

It’s a mystery to me, Luuu.

@@PhilMcKelliget Well, to be honest, I can't believe that anybody could possibly record a 13 minute piece like Bach's Chacconne on guitar in one single take with each and every note sounding as perfect as they do on all these modern classical guitar recordings. There must be some kind of editing involved. I always try to do as good as possible without performing any plastic surgery on my recordings, but I do confess that sometimes I allow myself to optimize the audio file a tiny little bit to remove minor buzzing sounds like the one you hear at 1:13... 😇
