Comedy connoisseur here: I can only imagine the frustration, however here's the deal. It's a new day,. As they have always did, promoters promote shows to make money first. Whoever can help them achieve that goal, regardless of comedic prowess, will receive priority booking. You can't blame the internet comedians for using what they have to get what they want, and you can't blame the promoter for booking the acts they deem will give them the greatest return on their investment. The really good comedians don't have a problem getting booked. Although some of them may not earn as much money as the internet guys, they are eating. If they want more food on their plate they are going to have to step their game up via TV, film, and standup. They may even have to reinvent themselves. Ultimately, this is a consumer issue that boils down to supply and demand. If a comedian refuses to adjust and wants to be mad at someone other than self, they should be mad at the fans because they have the final say so.

As a woman who watches comedy there is no women black or white killing a game that is mainstream worthy to be booked on big events let's just keep it real we haven't had a good mainstream female comic in a long time so until they've mastered their craft or somebody comes out with something really amazing they're always going to be second grade. Honestly any good female comedians we see are likely are SNL or sitcoms not stand up
