@@MorrisWilsonFvcks One Piece is the only story where I look past that...someone called me out for this once which made me think about it, and where usually I would ask myself "What makes him special?" I couldn't even think about that because what is there about Luffy that's not special? He isn't a generic goody two shoes anime protagonist that you see in any shounen story, he is the template that the generic protagonists can't measure up to...Luffy is three dimensional, not a moral slave but actually a moral guide and the strawhat crew dynamic makes up for pretty much every character flaw in a reasonable way.

I just didn't cry because it was taking too long for Luffy to say another sentence, like he says one sentence there after "10" seconds he says another sentence, then I kind of missed the moment of emotion so I didn't cry, but it was a beautiful speech

The first one piece episode that I give a 10/10 since a really long time ago, and the reason is that they adapted a full chapter and they didn't do that since a really long time ago, and ofc the events are so emotional and Luffy's leadership is just awesome and wonderful, yes it deserves a full 10/10

This not only symbolise Luffy strength, it also does his unbelievable leadership. If you want to bring people under your wings, you dont only need to give them a beautiful speech, you also need to show them that you are going to be with them, and that means you will also suffer with them. Not a single benefit for being his leader. In contrast, you are willing to take risks for them. Why would a stranger would take so much trouble for them? Why would someone bother so much for a bunch of people sake? This is why Luffy is able to touch everyone soul.

@@joshvoigt5543 i think its because of the pacing of the manga is faster than in the anime. The anime is not allowed to catch up with the manga, so thats why they have to slower the pacing for example with filler and so it lose a bit of terrifying qualities

I think this is the first ever fight Luffy was in where he didn’t shout and attack somehow. He calmly tied babanuki’s trunk saying he saw a terrible future and walked away. I hope it’s a glimpse of luffy as the pirate king.

What I also love about Kiku is that as opposed to a lot of other stories, especially in the west, is that his/hers situation isn't forced down your throat, but actually just exists organically in the story. I also thought it was weird for a nation like Wano, which seems to have a fairly traditional cultural structure to have a female samurai, but this is completely fixed due to his/hers situation.

Ivankov (and Inazuma) I believe are more Gender-Fluid, but since we see both in their male form there's no foul in referring them to 'he'. Personally this was a piece the Manga did better, I think the Mummy virus being green throws me off because you hear a virus that 'burns' and you think red or burgundy, but also the Babanuki explosion was fantastically shaded in the manga. But they do keep the 'idgaf' energy Luffy has with the prisoners' excuses, it's these specific moments when you see the King in him.
