I agree with the Lucci take. There's so much potential for Lucci going forward. Plus he could possibly get a Haki bloom while Fighting Luffy. The World Government has had too many Ls recently. They need strong characters going into the Final War

Everyone's hyped for the Lucci/Luffy fight. I'm expecting those expectations to be subverted. My guess? Something will distract or otherwise keep Luffy from fighting Lucci, and instead CP0 will encounter the Seraphim. CP0 will show their new strength by being the first characters we see take out one or more Seraphim. Honestly I'm more hyped for a Sentomaru/Luffy match but Sentomaru would have to betray Vegapunk. Maybe he'll choose his duty to the Marines over following Vegapunk's orders and go after Luffy.

I doubt Lucci is anywhere near Yonko level (otherwise CP0 would just have been sent to Wano to clear house). He is cunning though and if a fight ensued, he would outsmart Luffy at the beginning but be ultimately defeated.

I think luffys struggle with Lucci is more going to be along the lines of preventing others from taking damage and this is where he'll purposely tank attacks to protect Vega and Bonney ect so I reckon that's how oda will make this fight hard I also wonder if the power source is cola and Vega has just not ever thought of it

I've heard a lot of talk about how Lucci's become stronger and could put up some fight, and meanwhile I'm just here saying two things that I've heard almost no one bring up: A) Lucci has no reason to fight Luffy because he's not here for that and probably knows he'd lose in the end anyway. B) Luffy has Advanced Conqueror's Haki now. Lucci shouldn't be able to hurt him even if he wanted to.

Gr8 video. When learning about Vegapunk's dream to find a free energy source for the world, it reminded me of a theory I heard where Luffy's DF could be the potential energy source that he was trying to obtain. But that would mostly make sense if Luffy uses his Gear 5th in front of him during the upcoming battle with CP0, and he ends up explaining the SH the truth about Luffy's DF & why it must never fall in the wrong hands. I might be wrong, but will the Seraphim act differently than the last time they appeared? Who knows, maybe there's a chance for either the Hancock Seraphim to have the same feeling for Luffy as the real Hancock does, or the Mihawk Seraphim behaving the same way as Hawkeye does whenever it involves Zoro or someone close to him? If Sentomaru is involved in the battle, then does this mean that he knows Vegapunk's connection to Dragon & the Revolutionary Army? Or he is going to learn it right away, which may not end well for the bodyguard? Now I don't know exactly how the battle between Luffy’s group & Lucci's will play out, or who will have the advantage. But what are the chances that Lucci's group will accidentally help Luffy’s group awaken their respective Devil Fruit powers just like how their fellow agent did in Wano? Who knows, we may finally get the chance to know the specific model of Chopper's Human Human Fruit, and/or what an awakened "Age Age" Fruit can really do? I expect the battle between Luffy & Lucci to be done in a more cartoon-like fashion just like how it was when Luffy harmed Kaidou the moment he unlocked Gear 5th. Well I don't know about you, but what do you think?

@ Vegapunk's dream of free energy for everyone: At the end it would be the No.1 measure to take if one wants to elevate the world out of the WG-enforced middle age. Because even toppling the WG wouldn't mean that the world would turn out to be a better one over night. He warned Dragon to not lose sight of the end goal, so that must be linked together. Helping to create a better world while knowing about the past and using it as an example / possible blueprint for the future. + He'd get much out of it as well for his own research. If limitless energy is free for all, yes, the populace of the OP world might still fight over it/other things, but there'd be less factors at hand for armed conflict. Again, only after the WG is gone. Heavenly Tribute galore. Yes, the OP world has tech so it can't be the middle ages in a strict sense, I just couldn't find a better word. @ Lucci x Luffy shipping: You make it seem like we could have a Dragonball situation. Frieza never trained and got slapped by SSj Goku. In DBS he trained for a short time and got a power-up (+ more which i won't mention here since manga) so he got dangerous again. Interesting. Still, even if Lucci trained, Luffy just detonated almost every metric of power starting from vs. Katakuri and especially the Raid. + He just doesn't have a Mythical Zoan, so his DF powers can only grow so big. Haki would be an important thing to think about here, since Lucci does have a strong will, but then, refer to Luffy detonating power metrics as of recently.

The Roku-o-gun is most likely still Lucci’s #1 attack. Considering it wasn’t enough to Whack Atlas in 1 go. I doubt this will be a straight fight between him and Luffy.

I get that Lucci has obviously progressed and has always been a beast, but you can't convince me he's progressed at a comparable rate to Luffy over the past 2 years. People really think he's the same dude from 2 years ago even though it's been stated repeatedly that CP0 is WAY stronger than CP9 and Lucci even has a leadership position among the organization. Which is not easy to achieve and he did in just 2 years.

I don't wanna sleep on Lucci, but Luffy has had the fastest progression of basically any character in the verse. Like you can't convince me Lucci has progressed at a similar rate to Luffy over the last 2 years. I don't think Luffy will steamroll Lucci, but I think he can comfortably mid-diff him for sure.

Yes but is Lucci Kaido levels of strong though. Can he see the future, can he use advanced armament Haki, does he even have conquerors Haki let alone be capable of coating attacks with it. Has he awakened his devil fruit? If he cannot do any of the above, I'm sorry, he is nowhere near Luffy.

Lucci probably won't get bodied immediately, this is true, but he should be anyway bc 1) it would be very funny and 2) that ruffian has it coming
