According to Wiki, even the carbon dioxide he exhales is also a bomb (that is, he has exploding breaths). Leg Kicking kicks out of the explanation, but I think it's because of the study that says the dust in the room is 60 percent human biomaterial - bits of skin, dandruff - probably something he had on his shoes. Or is it just a mistake. He uses boogers for humor (Oda, creator of the show, has such one) and also because they are the easiest to use as projectiles, for long-range attacks (in theory, and in the cartoon universe, of course).
