Interesting hearing the difference between this one that Brahms made, and the one Clara Schumann did - her Op. 20. I'd love to hear Lugansky play hers. In these variations, #14, the andante, I think really has some soul in it.

Thank you, this is a great composition and a great interpretation. These variations touch upon death and one cannot help thinking about all of the victims of bestial aggressions in Ukraine and Gaza. This music expresses the spirit of our time (which is like the end of time).
