Lugansky is a certified Rachmnaninoff goat without a doubt, and his immaculate playing is beyond the reach of any praise. What caught my attention in this performance though was the phenomenal playing of the orchestra, the layers, the clarity, the harmony with the soloist. Honestly it’s hard to find a recording that matches this standard of perfection which checks off all boxes.

Principally I do share Your impressionns and Your judgements - Nikolaj Lugansky is a wondeful pianist at all. But I can give You an advice to look for another, in my opinion still "better" interpretation of this concerto: Listen to Daniil Trifonov with the Berliner Philharmoniker under Simon Rattle (Live record of 2016 in "Digital Concert Hall")! There you will find still more feeling for the inner connexion and still more assimilation and unit with the orchestra, the conductor - and the whole excellent composition of Rachmaninov.

Yes! And so well recorded! I heard parts jumping out at me that I've never noticed before, and I've listened to this concerto many times, and many different versions.

This is certainly pianism of the highest order. Here one witnesses total mastery of the technical demands with effortless execution. However, Lugansky adds an additional layer of superb interpretation that not only embodies the essence of the score, but successfully captures listener’s imagination in unexpected ways. Consequently, nowadays one is unlikely to find very many collaborations that are as convincing as this particular one.

The best interpretation ❤ Rachmaninoff + Lugansky = Rachmansky! He does not simply interpret the work. He gives the work a new meaning.

Yes, it IS Moscow Philharmonic 100%. In the Tchaikovsky Hall, I think (not sure). This recording is PHENOMENAL. An exceptionally thoughtful, insightful, sincere, convincing Lugansky together with super-maestro Simonov, the only conductor in the world who could cajole the orchestra into following Lugansky's idiosyncratic plethora of thought-out details. Overall, an interpretation of absolutely superb depth and power and understanding. IF one may suggest... please also upload it without the score. The score is a very nice touch, but it would be lovely to have both options, if possible. Regardless, thanks for sharing a quite Special upload. This will be saved Forever.

This amazing concert took place on September 13, 2022 at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. In the first part, the third concert of S.V.Rakhmaninov was performed, in the second part - the third symphony in D major, composition 29 by P.I.Tchaikovsky. Soloist Nikolai Lugansky, conductor Yuri Simonov and the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Moscow Philharmonic.

Thank you for this lovely upload. I appreciate also the work you invested in making this composite video with the score, such a precise job!! Could you though, like somebody else was suggesting, pretty please ALSO upload the original video as is? The score is nice but it would also be beautiful to also have access to the video without other visual elements in it. Many thanks for that!!

In 1978, Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No.3, conducted by Zubin Mehta or Pablo Gonzalez in his heyday, and played by Lim Yoon-chan on the piano, is ecstatic to think about it face-blue-smiling 1978년. 전성기 때의 Zubin Mehta나 Pablo Gonzalez가 지휘하고, 임윤찬이 피아노로 연주하는 Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No.3은 생각만 해도 황홀해집니다

Know the score intimately and to have it superimposed over a live performance was very interesting, and my all time Rach exponent like the previous comment gets finer as rare wine. At times(esp. the cadenza) the controlled aggressive technique is almost inhuman. How many artists can recreate a Beethoven sonata by ear as a child?

Lugansky is always giving us a masterclass. The perfection of this 3er Concerto in his hands is not possible to be expressed in words. His pianism and musicallity and comprehention of Rachmaninoff is insuperable. Amazing the orchestra in harmony with piano playing. The filmation is horrible, awful, against the necessary visual concentration, showing everything at every second, each instrument, the ceiling, the scores, everything except Lugansky´s hands. Where the find these enemies of musical world?
